The Prizegiving tomorrow is still on! The infallible MetService forecast reckons the heaviest rain will fall overnight and ease somewhat by 9am... but maybe bring an umbrella just in case! We'll also be firing up the BBQ a little earlier than usual. Don't forget the CHBC Girls 1st XI will be there hosting a bake sale to raise funds to go on tournament week next month.

Reminder the we have local junior football prizegiving at 9am at Russell Park this Saturday, 15 August. Football will follow the prizegiving and we will host a BBQ with a soft drink for the players afterwards.

A special extra bit of end of season goodness is planned as well. The CHB College Girls 1st XI is having a bake sale at Russell Park on Saturday morning to fundraise for their football tournament week. Please bring some spare money along for treats and to help with their fundraising!

We have been invited to Dannevirke Sports Club to challenge for the Cattle-Watts Cup. The game will take place on 12th September 2026 at the Dannevirke Sports club.

Last year, despite the result, it was a great way to end our junior football season and we are grateful to receive the invite to try and win the cup back.

Dannevirke Sports club have also invited us to bring down a 10th grade team for a game as well, so we will be selecting 2 teams to take down; a 10th grade team, and a 12th grade team.

This year we will be holding trials, with our guest selector Alonso Fernandez picking our team for the Cattle-Watts Cup.

Age ranges for each team are:
12th Grade: Players aged 12 or younger on 1 January 2026
10th Grade: Players aged 10 or younger on 1 January 2026
