What a WET day of footy! 🌧️🏉 But a little rain wasn’t going to stop our Warriors!

A massive thank you to everyone who made the trek all the way up to Whitianga for this weekend’s carnival. All 14 of our Waihī Warriors teams made it onto the field today, so a huge mihi to our players, coaches, managers and whānau for making it happen!

With the wet weather today, unfortunately we didn't manage to get photos of all our recipients - but a massive congratulations to every single one of you!

Huge congratulations to Kairo, who was invited to attend an invitational trial and has now been selected to trial for the ONE New Zealand Warriors Under 14 Pathway Programme in Auckland.

Kairo was our Year 7 & 8 Sports Person of the Year and is a talented, well rounded athlete who continues to thrive at everything he does.

We wish Kairo all the very best for the final selection process.

🐯 REFEREE TRAINING OPPORTUNITY 🏉

HDRL are looking to grow and strengthen the referee space across our District, particularly for the International Grades (U13 & U15).

While your child may not currently play in these grades, they will likely progress into them in the coming years and quality referees are essential to ensuring games can be played and enjoyed by our tamariki.

We're encouraging any parents, whānau, supporters, former players, coaches or managers who may be interested to consider attending this free referee training session.
