📣 Meet Reports! Hamilton Aquatics Chocolate Meet, 9 August. Lots of chocolate and lollies! Layla, Abby, Eadie, Beau and Olive attended, all getting PBs . Beau had the Swim of the Day doing a 31 second PB in his 200m freestyle. Olive and Eadie’s first swim meet, they had a great time and swam really well.

Shortcourse Showdown, Baywave, 14-16 August. Layla, Abby, Beau, and Elise competed. A large swim meet, it is the last qualifying meet for Aims Games and NZ Short Course nationals. Most notable swims were
Beau Macduff Silver medal 10/U 200m Freestyle
Abby Cooper Silver medal 10/U 200m Breaststroke
Layla Cooper 8th in Open Women’s 800m Freestyle
Elise swam 100% pb’s bettering her qualifying times for Aims Games.
Some great swims, lots of fun and lots of lessons learned. Congratulations swimmers!

In Waihi Swimming Club AGM news… A big shout out to Shane Rush for being Club President since 2019, and our Starter since, well, ages ago! We think he’s a bit of a legend, thanks heaps Shane! We also farewelled Stacey, Delwyn & Gina - 10 committee years between them, thank you 🙏 We are stoked to welcome Clint B as the new Club President, and Whitney, Bianca and Abe on to the Committee, to join Joel and Casey. What a swim team! Thank you all for standing up to support Waihi Swimming Club 💙💙💙
