A special moment yesterday afternoon as our men's team observed a minute's silence in memory of Maggie Baptist - beloved grandmother of one of our young players and mother of one of Waihi Football's longtime veterans.

Maggie was a familiar face on the sidelines over the past few years, proudly supporting her grandson whenever she had the chance. Her presence and encouragement will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

That win was for her.

However the ladies game went right ahead and they secured themselves a draw in an exciting, goal-filled match!
