RIP RW (Bob) Blair

Club member of Upper Hutt District from 1960 to 1968 - our club's first Black Cap.

Holder of the club bowling records for most wickets in a season at 82 in 1965-66, best bowling in an innings of 9-70, 7 wickets in an innings 20 times. During these 8 seasons Upper Hutt were Hutt Valley club champions on 4 occasions.

The club shares commiserations to the Blair family. Brother Jim and nephew Kevin were also long-time members of our club.

An overdue post but one that is important to cap our season off. UH were recipients of the Royal Visit Cup for the Highest Wellington Aggregate in terms of points. This is the second season in a row that we have received this honour for a trophy that has been around since 1954 and was won by Eastern Suburbs from 2009 to 2023!
An overall testament for the strength of the club and congratulations to all members and teams that have made this happen 👏
