📢 HVCTC 5-STAND WEEKEND CANCELLED

Please note that the HVCTC's 5-Stand weekend scheduled for Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November has been cancelled.

This is due to the North Island North Zone Sporting qualifying event being held over the same weekend.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Our monthly Super Sporting competition will continue as usual—Sunday 1 November, kicking off at 1.00 pm. The website will be updated to reflect this.

"Go Hard and then Go Harder" !!

The family of our late club member, David Ainsworth, has kindly donated his shooting vests, tops, and jackets for the Club to pass on to other members.

David sadly passed away after a battle with cancer. In honour of his memory, the Club will donate a portion of the proceeds from these items to the Cancer Society.

If you’re interested in any of the items, please make an offer. It’s a wonderful opportunity to own some quality club gear while helping support a cause that meant so much in David’s memory.

Update for Tomorrow's Side-by-Side Competition

🎯 GP Scores
If you're shooting only the Side-by-Side event and would like your score to count towards your GP, simply return to your first stand after completing the course and continue shooting until you have 60 targets recorded on your score sheet.

🎯 GP & Side-by-Side Stands
With Field 1 (OT/UT disciplines) unavailable with a new control box being installed and menus tested, tomorrow's competition will run across Fields 4–7.

To accommodate both events, each field will have two stands:

** Both stands count towards your GP scores
** One of the two stands is designated for the Side-by-Side event.

⚠️ Olympic / Universal Trench peeps
Jamie Cane and the team will be reinstalling the new control box on the Trench/UT field.

Please note: this field will be unavailable while testing is underway. The team will be working through the menus and functionality, ironing out any bugs before the system is signed off.

Once testing is complete, this field will be available for practice leading into the NI South Zone ISSF Champs (19–20 September), with Friday 18 September available as the official practice day.

Format :
* English Sporting Pairs – 60 targets (GP)
* Side-by-Side – 50 targets

Both competitions will run simultaneously across two pegs:
* 1 × GP Peg
* 1 × Side-by-Side Peg

SxS competitors: If you're only shooting the Side-by-Side event, simply shoot the GP 60-target menu. Your 1st 50 targets will be recorded as your Side-by-Side competition score.
