☆About Birdy's Dance☆

Birdy's Dance was established in 2009 in Upper Hutt, Wellington by Birdy, the founder and dance instructor from Thailand who has extensive experience in the dance industry since 1994.

We run HipHop style dance classes for all ages and skill levels. Classes include HipHop foundation, technics and trending choreographed moves. We believe that HipHop dance benefits children, teens and adults in many ways such as
• Confidence
• Coordination
• Creativity
• Fun
• Fitness
• Friendship

Importantly, we always aim to make them to be happy, to be ownself, to enjoy, to learn expressing themselves uniquely through theirs dances, to inspire others and to achieve their goals of dance.

☆About Birdy☆
Birdy has been continuing for over 30 years in dance industry as Dancer, Dance Instructor, Choreographer, Performing Coach for artists to perform in music videos, concerts and TV programme in Thailand and has been working for over 12 years as Nationally & Internationally HipHop Dance Judge for many dance platforms such as HipHop International ( HHI NZ, HHI Thailand, HHI India ), UDO Asia Pacific, AGC World etc.
For Birdy, she believes, dance is a powerful form, a way to focus and connect with brain, body and soul and a way to that connection with others. She always wants to express and share her love, passion, knowledges and experiences of her dance to everyone. This was a main reason of hers to create this dance space to pass on her knowledges to next generations and to support & help HipHop dance community in local to get grower.

☆About classes schedule☆
All classes are held on every Friday following as school terms

• Junior Beginners ( Level 1 ) •
Time : 4.15 - 5.30 pm/1.15 hrs
Age : 6 - 9 yrs
- First time learning!!
Learn HipHop foundations , fun basic moves , and easy choreography and techniques. Also focus on bests, rhythms and mobility.

• Junior Beginners ( Level 2 ) •
Time : 4.15 - 5.30 pm/1.15 hrs
Age : 8 - 11 yrs
- Learn HipHop foundations & variations and learn higher level of dance techniques, complicated moves & rhythms. Also focus on strength and mobility.

• Intermediates/Seniors/Adults class •
Time : 5.45 - 7.15 pm /1.30 hrs
Age : 12-18 yrs & over 18 yrs - Learn variety of HipHop dance styles with Foundations in advanced level through choreography. Also focus on musicality, texture, feelings through music & moves by expressing in ownself character or style or version.

☆About term fees (10 lessons)☆

• Intermediates/Seniors
$120/term
$13/weekly or casual

• Private session for Solos
30 mins $30
45 mins $45

• Private session for Duos

• Private session for Trios

* If wants to do second trial, it will charge the rate of weekly or casual session.

* And if wants to join 2 classes, will charge the 2nd class only 50% of full term's cost.

☆About Dance Gears☆
- Any comfy clothes to move or dance. Not recommend to wear tight jeans
- Any specific or suitable shoes for dance or sport shoes or sneakers. Not allowed wearing any leather shoes or boots, heels, crocs and sandals for dancing as it's unsafe and may leave any marks or damages on floor.
Barefoot isn't ideal.
Not recommend wearing just socks without shoes on to dance as it's unsafe and may cause any accidents from slippery.

☆ Fee payment conditions☆
- Payment has to be made within week 9 of term.
- Making a payment after week 9 will be charge the rate of weekly or casual session following the amount of attended sessions.
- Payment by CASH if possible. However still accept bank transfer if inconveniece.

☆About studio☆
Birdy's Dance classes are held at 1st floor studio of Anita's Dance Academy in Upper Hutt, Wellington.
We are not studio's owner and not associated as co owner or partner of the academy.
We are a long term good friend and customer of Anita, the owner of Anita Dance Academy hiring her studio to run our classes for over decade.
Anita is very lovely, very kind, very supportive and very generous to Birdy and to all Birdy's students since the beginning of Birdy's Dance until now by sharing her space and chances to Birdy's students to perform on her platform annually, giving us lot of useful & helpful advices regarding classes & shows etc and helps to promote Birdy's Dance on her page to grow and gain classes & students in the local.
We have much love & respect her as one of Birdy's Dance's family

☆Classes and Studio Rules☆
- Not allow any parents, students or whoever isn't involved or doesn't join any classes to stay in or walk in & out the studio during class is running without a permission.

- Please inform in advance regarding any health issues & conditions or any injuries to be aware before class starts or any absences by any reasons.
In case of being unwell, you're better to stay home for fully recovery.

- Please be aware of not making any noises to interrupt any classes while they are running.

- As above-mentioned, we don't own the property and any items in Academy, so must be careful and aware of leaving any damages accidently or intentionally in any areas of studio.
In case it's happened by anyone, that person must be responsible for all expenses from damaging.

- Not allowed bringing any foods, any snacks or any sweets to eat in class and any areas of Academy. Only drinks are allowed. Just be mindful of staying clean.

- Most importantly BE NICE, BE KIND and BE SUPPORTIVE to each other

Being "advanced" is about the quality of your basics. A "basic" is just a base technique for other movements. At first your ability to execute basics is immature. You can do them but they're not impressive technically or visually. With practice, your basics become mature full-bodied movements that are technically and visually impressive. There's a basic basic and an advanced basic. Keep leveling up! ⁠
