The hard work has been put in. The hours, the sweat, the early mornings, the late nights, the heavy lifts and the ugly reps. It’s time to put it all on the floor.

Our Gym56 staff got up to something different this weekend! 🔥

This weekend, we took on our first HYROX Sim. It pushed us both physically and mentally, but we gave it everything we had and got the job done.

A good reminder that growth happens when you step outside your comfort zone. Age is just a number! keep challenging yourself 💪

POWER TRIP ’26 🔥

We had four super last-minute teams jump into this comp, and every single one of them gave it an absolute crack!

Massive congratulations to everyone who competed yesterday. You continue to push yourselves, represent our gym with pride, and make all of us so proud. ❤️‍🔥

A huge shoutout to The Boys for taking out the Men’s Elite division! It was an epic battle between them and Trenty’s team right to the end. 👀 I reckon that’s what fueled the fire, to be honest. 🤣

A special mention has to go to our boy, Elle-Ay Charlie. At just 15 years old, he got the call-up the night before and didn’t hesitate to say yes. Not only was it his very first competition, but he also stepped straight into the Intermediate division and absolutely held his own. You made everyone incredibly proud and proved you’ve got a bright future ahead. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you! ❤️‍🔥

Congratulations again to everyone from our gym, our members in other teams and to all teams from our small town. What an awesome day of competing, supporting each other, and doing what we love. Until the next one! 🔥

It’s official 👀 We’ve qualified for Champs again 👏🏽

This year, three of our athletes have earned their spot at the New Zealand CrossFit Champs this August.

And One of them is also heading across the ditch to compete at the Oceania Champs in Australia next month ☝🏽

It was a tough week of qualifying for them, a few fails and a couple re-dos. Literal blood, sweat and tears ifykyk🤣
These athletes put in the work, showed up when it mattered, and earned every bit of this.

And of course our Ruark girl Jordan qualified as well🔥always proud of you Jordan!

We’re beyond proud and can’t wait to see them go up against the top 30 in NZ and Australia 💪🏽

Let’s go team ❤️‍🔥

🥇🥈🥉

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR PODIUM WINNERS…

Tayla Heywood – 3rd Place (Novice)
In her very first CrossFit competition, Taylah showed exactly what consistency and commitment can do. She’s been putting in the extra work outside of class, working on her weaknesses and willing to learn what she can do to make her a better athlete. And it all paid off in a huge way. What a debut!!

Ngahiraka Te Riini – 3rd Place (Novice)
This result didn’t come easy. After a bumpy lead-up with injuries and all, Nga showed up to the comp with resilience, determination, and heart. He showed up ready to give everything and earned every bit of this podium finish.
+ He showed up for the team as the best hype man🔥

Ben Wilson – 2nd Place (Elite)
Competing at the highest level is never easy, and this was no exception. He knew before the comp he wanted that podium and so he worked for it. Ben continues to hold himself to an elite standard, and this result reflects the effort he puts into trainings. A hard fought and well deserved podium finish.

Boston Beale – 1st Place (Intermediate)
First competition, first place and honestly we expected nothing less. Boston has been building toward this moment with consistent all out efforts at trainings and with qualifiers. This is just the start of what’s to come.

Proud is an understatement.
