When my Dad was Earthside, he had this hat that he had worn for so many years, there didn’t seem a time that he had not.
It was in all his photos - the fishing and hunting ones; the gold panning ones and later in life, it became his gardening hat.
When he could no longer do any of these things and was left with the only outdoors activity he could manage, the trusty hat became a shade for his face when he sat on the back step in the sun.
Finally, in the last years when he was pretty much armchair bound by his late 80’s, the faithful hat protected him from the glare of the window light while he watched TV.
Dad’s hat had a special hook by the back door, so it was the first thing he reached for as he went outside and the last thing he took off when he went back in.
After my parents passed away, only two weeks apart, and their house was finally emptied of everything they had ever owned and treasured; there was only one more thing I needed to do.
As I left that house for the very last time, I took down from it’s hook, my Dad’s battered old hat.
Dad was not there any more but I believed he was always going to be wherever he hung his hat.
These days, I often glance out my kitchen window while I’m cooking, and I never fail to smile as I catch the sight of dear Dad’s hat hanging in my back porch - now with a companion - my husband’s own well worn version!
These two men never met in life, but I feel like they are really “hanging out” together a lot now lol.
P.s my Dad’s hat is the one on the right. 🤠🤠
~In my mind, you are still sitting on your back step when I walk up the path to your house; your grin broader than the brim of your hat. "Gidday Shaye" you say to me as I approach "I've just picked some silver beet - you want some?" and I groan to myself because you never remember how much I hate it, but Dad, I hope you remember how much I love you..... 💖 ~
Do you have a special possession that belonged to a father figure you love who’s no longer here in the physical?
Something that no-one would give you a cent for, but that means everything to you because of the memories it holds?
Father's day is the perfect day to remember and honour your Dad, Grandad or father figure, so I would love to hear your stories or see your photos😊

Live your life like a Daffodil 🌟
Be the first to pop up and cheer a dull day with a burst of bright colour and the reassurance that bleak times always come to an end.
Push yourself to bloom wherever needed, regardless of surroundings, free of judgement, whether it be in the company of the humble or the privileged.
Your positivity is a great equaliser, so go out there and shine!! ✨
Happy Spring!

He looked in the mirror while brushing his teeth
he searched his whole face but just saw eyes filled with grief.
He remembered a time when he looked rather dashing,
but now everything in his sad world had been crashing.
She woke from a nightmare and crawled out of bed
the words that had taunted her echoed in her head.
If only the dream was not based on real facts
but she watched as her tormentor rolled onto his back.
She walked through the aisles with a trolley still empty
she tried not to stare at the shoppers with plenty.
It worried her so how she’d feed her poor babes
it’s not like she had any money to save.
He walked into the office and kept his head low
he knew they’d be laughing and calling him slow.
It wasn’t his fault that he’d suffered that fall
He continually wished he’d not made it at all.
She painted a smile on her broken heart
went into the classroom and greeted the staff.
In the playground she watched all the children run free
and hid tears for her babies that never came to be.
When today you go out and join in with the world
you might never detect all the sadness it holds.
So whatever you’re doing and whoever you meet
share some love in your heart with the people you greet.
And as a reminder if you’re one of these souls
who’s silently struggling with things nobody knows.
Put a prayer on your pillow when you’re feeling the fear
and trust you’ll be heard by somebody who cares 😇

I've been thinking about all the people I'm missing Earthside and trying to recall how they sounded when they talked.
It can be surprisingly easy to remember even after many years, as there is still this familiar echo that plays in my ears when I think of them.
It just goes to show, that the vibration our dear ones leave behind in our minds is very powerful and eternal, but sadly it's truly not the same as hearing them in the physical...
When someone takes their final breath, it’s the last time their voice will ever be heard on Earth.
That unique, once only voice.
Familiar and comforting and totally unlike any other.
It may have annoyed you at times when it was boring or preachy or singing out of tune, haha,
but oh, what would you give to hear that dear voice speaking your name again!
Wishing for you to hear whispers from Heaven to comfort you and remind you of the love you shared with special people 💗

The word “Dead” is not one I like or use very often.
It is defined as meaning: expired; no longer in existence; lifeless; extinct; insensate.
Spirit people are not any of these things! In fact they are more alive, aware and switched on than many people I see walking around on Earth and who may fit that above description better haha 🤭😂🤣
So yeah, I much prefer terms like crossed over, graduated, earned their wings, transcended etc to describe the beautiful and more advanced position of those in spirit world.
Spirit people teach us how to live more fully while we are still in our bodies, so we can honour them by embracing the experience of being human, take a leaf from their book, and don’t act like we’re the ones who are “dead”!
Have a happy day humans!

We are often told to grow up and not behave like children - then apparently we will be in a better space to change the world or at least be more understanding and compassionate to each other.
Yes, sometimes the tantrums and self-centredness of children can still linger as adults and cause trouble and distress out there, but let’s not forget the positive aspects of displaying some child-like traits.
Children accept everyone unless conditioned not to.
They don’t even care about colour, ethnicity, bodily differences and disabilities. Even if they are curious, they are never cruel or turn away - just interested in finding out how we all are unique.
They don’t tend to hold grudges - just forgive and move on once the upset is over.
They live in the moment, not dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. They just accept what is right NOW.
Children have a happy knack of noticing the little treasures in life.
They point out the bees on the flowers and the way the sun makes funny shadows of them on the ground.
They have no concept of time, so they don’t rush - they just savour ever moment, like walking slowly through crunchy leaves or staring at a bird picking it’s way across the garden looking for worms.
Children find humour in the silliest things and they can laugh at themselves while also making it irresistible to others to join in with the hilarity.
So, if you are retaining any of these delightful qualities you came to Earth with, then you are doing it right, and don’t let anyone spoil your spark of joy!
And, if you have forgotten how you used to be when you were little and innocent, maybe reading this will remind you of how good it was to just love life without effort!
Wishing you abundant blessings, spiritual growth and the comfort of being loved and accepted for who you are 🥰😍

You simply can't fight frequency.
Allow yourself to grieve the loss of those you once fitted in with in your life and then embrace the new energetic matches you attract as you continue to grow 🦋

Bringing Light into the world is possible in many ways.
Creating things of beauty or sharing joy through offering beautiful products is also very healing and uplifting for the creator and the recipient!
This is why I am so happy to have another "hat" I wear, co-partnering a little business with my husband and travelling around doing markets together.
We both make things to add to our collection of beautiful, magical ethnic clothing, accessories, crystals and jewellery, so we have loads of wonderful things to bring you joy!
We are Colour My Tribe and we would love to delight you with our products 🤗 🤩

Just a little “by the way” for you all… 😁😁
When you’ve been to see me and you say thank you to me,
much as I love being appreciated, the gratitude should always go to the Spirit world for their love, assistance, communication and healing.
When I signed up as a soul to do this work on Earth, I made a sacred contract with Spirit and my own soul.
It was an agreement to serve others - as selflessly and conscientiously as I could manage to understand, and without my spirit team and all the angelic beings who come to our aid, I would be nothing.
Over the 25 years I’ve been doing this stuff, I have come to learn more about humility and compassion than I ever thought possible.
As I say to everyone I can - there is NO ego in authentic spiritual work!
Once you realise you are simply a conduit for all the highest love and light beings who come to help, or for the loved ones of of your clients who put their trust in connecting with you, you become humble, in awe and filled with gratitude for being allowed to witness and be a part of such miracles.
So yes, it’s great to have a hug and some warm appreciation between us when we are together, but always remember who is watching, guiding and supporting you just beyond what you can sense, and give them your deepest gratitude 🥰🙌🙏
