Seido Karate Timaru was started in 1975. It follows the teachings of Grand Master Tadashi Nakamura, 9th Dan, based in New York.
Over the years we have produced numerous prestigious black belts, and karatekas.

Congratulations to all students who competed in the World Taekwondo New Zealand South Island Tournament, held in Timaru last weekend.
Seido Karate Timaru had students representing across kata and kumite, winning three golds in kumite and three golds and three silver in kata.
It was great to be competing alongside Four Peaks Seido Karate Geraldine students, who also represented their dojo with great spirit and medalled well.
