Thomas Stowers is one of the athletes preparing to compete on 24 October in Auckland, as amateur and professional competitors get ready for a major day of WFF competition.

The next few weeks will bring more names, more anticipation and, eventually, the moment everyone has been waiting for.

Paul has been photographing WFF New Zealand since 2014, with more than two decades of experience capturing bodybuilding on stage.

From Wellington to shows across New Zealand and overseas, he enjoys travelling to meet new athletes, catch up with familiar faces, and capture the moment months of training and preparation come together under the lights.

What keeps Paul coming back is being able to follow athletes over the years and see how they develop from one competition to the next. His work has become a familiar part of the WFF NZ stage, capturing the people, progress, and moments that make each show memorable.

Representing the Philippines – Joanne Jean Dela Pena 🇵🇭

For Joanne Jean Dela Pena, that opportunity comes at the WFFNZ Pan Pacific Pro Am on 24 October in Auckland.

Another international name has now joined the line-up, adding to what is shaping up to be a strong field for one of the biggest events on the WFF New Zealand calendar.

With titles to chase and opportunities to qualify for the WFF Universe in Germany and the WFF Omniverse in Malaysia, the Pan Pacific stage is getting ready for a big day of competition.

Representing New Zealand – Sonya Renata 🇳🇿

With international athletes making their way to Auckland, Sonya will be one of the athletes carrying the New Zealand flag on home soil at the WFFNZ Pan Pacific Pro Am.

The Pan Pacific Pro Am brings a different level of competition to the New Zealand calendar, with amateur and professional athletes sharing the stage in Auckland on 24 October.

For the athletes representing New Zealand, it's a chance to compete on home soil while being part of an international event with qualification opportunities for the WFF Universe in Germany and the WFF Omniverse in Malaysia.

The home crowd will be watching!

Shane Murray – From competing on the South Island stage to supporting athletes as a WFFNZ Judge 🏅

Shane has been part of WFF New Zealand since around 2012, first building his connection with the federation as a competitor before becoming a judge in 2018.

His own competitive journey included several second-place finishes before he eventually took home the South Island Men's Overall title, a result that remains one of his proudest moments.

Now, Shane brings that experience to the judging table, staying connected to the sport while supporting the athletes who continue to take the stage. The friendships and sense of community he has found through WFFNZ are a big part of what keeps him involved.

Representing Australia – Rachel Oliver 🇦🇺

The Pan Pacific Pro Am is living up to its name, with Rachel Oliver travelling from Australia to compete in Auckland this October.

Her appearance adds another international presence to a show designed to bring athletes from across the region together on one stage.

On 24 October, Rachel will join amateur and professional athletes competing at one of the biggest events on the WFF New Zealand calendar, with qualification opportunities for the WFF Universe in Germany and the WFF Omniverse in Malaysia also on the line.
