The annual match between Taranaki and Waikato was held yesterday in a slightly different format as it was decided that travelling to Inglewood this year wouldn't be a very good option.
The match however was shot in two separate venues and with the use of technology, the scores were entered as completed.
Because of the differing sizes of each team an average of the shooters scores was used to decide the outcome. This gives everyone a chance to participate and made for a very close result.
Well done Taranaki for fielding a very large contingent of shooters especially in C and D grade. Whatever you are doing there to enlist shooters; it is certainly working.

The annual match between Waikato and Auckland was held at the Cambridge Club yesterday after the BSA match.
The competition was very even with Waikato coming out ahead in the Open by 6 points, A grade by only 2 points, losing B grade to Auckland by 2 points, losing the Womens match by 13 and gaining the Juniors by 16. Overall, the combined scores of all the teams points went to Waikato by 9 points.
The Top score of the day went to Sean McCabe; this was inadvertently awarded to the wrong person on the day, apologies to those concerned.
