Whether you’re an experienced coach looking to step back into the game, or an emerging leader ready to step up, we want to hear from you.

At Te Puna, coaching is about more than rugby. It’s about whanaungatanga, manaakitanga and kotahitanga — developing our people, building strong relationships and moving forward together as one club.

These are voluntary coaching positions, backed by a passionate community and a proud Blue & Black whānau.

A young team, but true soldiers from start to finish. These boys showed heart, grit and what it means to pull on the blue and black.
The season might not have ended how we wanted, but one thing was made clear,Te Puna is built for the trenches. 🫡
Plenty of young talent, plenty of lessons learnt and plenty more to come from this group.

What a season it has been.

From our Wāhine claiming their competition, to our Development side battling their way to a finals appearance and finishing runners-up, and our young Premier team laying the foundations for the future,we couldn’t be prouder of what was achieved in the blue and black.
But this club is about so much more than what happens on the field.
To our coaches, managers, committee, volunteers, sponsors, life members, supporters, whānau, and everyone who gave their time, energy and heart to Te Puna Rugby this season,thank you. Whether you cooked the kai, worked behind the bar, marked the fields, strapped players, washed jerseys, sponsored our teams, captured memories, or packed the sidelines every Saturday, you helped make this season what it was.
Every cheer, every tackle, every laugh, every win, every lesson,we shared it together.

To our community and supporters🔵⚫️

On behalf of the Premier Men’s coaching staff of Schu, Greg, and Kerry, we want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who backed us this season. We are truly humbled by the incredible support of our community, week in and week out.

While we didn’t always get the results we were aiming for, this season was full of moments and performances that our club, players, and supporters can be genuinely proud of. We blooded a large number of players and handed out plenty of debut jerseys this year, with a strong focus on bringing through local talent. The foundation and depth we built this season will serve the club well moving forward.
We couldn’t have done it without the strong support of the life members and club committee. A special shoutout to Jack, Maddi, Alando, and Butch for everything you did for the team, as well as a huge thank you to our physio team of Kendall, Hannah, Mikayla, Beth, and Ann for keeping the boys together and on the field each week.

To our sponsors: your generous support makes everything we do possible, and we are immensely grateful for your commitment to our team and club.
