This was my dance teacher back in the day. Lots of people have shared memories and stories about her in the comments and replies. She was a much loved colourful local identity in Tauranga, NZ.

Undine Clarke, Dancer and Teacher in Tauranga
1902-1986
A successful solo dancer in Auckland, she established the Undine Clarke School of Dancing, teaching hundreds of Bay of Plenty dance students ballet, ballroom, musical comedy, Spanish, traditional Highland. She spent a year in Australia to qualify with the Advanced Teachers Certificate, the highest performer's qualification at the Royal Academy of Dancing. In London she received personal tuition from leading dance teachers of the time.
