Our purpose is to PROMOTE, ENCOURAGE & DEVELOP swimming at all levels. Based at Methanex Bell Block Aquatic Centre & Todd Energy Aquatic Centre, NP.
Aquabladz New Plymouth is the result of a merger between Aquabladz Taranaki Swimming Club & New Plymouth Aquatics Swimming Club in August 2013. Aquabladz NP caters for competitive and non-competitive members. It works in synergy with Team Aquabladz which is the competitive swim squad run by head coach Sue Southgate. We also work closely with the learn to swim school BWF Aquatics managed by high performance coach Donna Bouzaid.

🤍💙 Congratulations to all who received trophies and awards at our 2025/2026 Prizegiving! It was a great morning celebrating another fantastic season and the effort, progress and achievements of all our swimmers. A big thank you to our committee members, parents and coaches.
We’re very proud of every swimmer in the club and all that has been achieved this season! Well done team 🤍💙

🏊♂️ BOP Short Course Showdown 2026 🏊♀️
A team of 28 Aquabladz swimmers which included both junior and senior swimmers, travelled to the Bay of Plenty on Friday to swim at this annual event!
The meet was a fantastic experience for all of the swimmers. Whether it was their first time travelling and attending an out of region club trip, first time achieving a placing or qualifying for a final and or, going away without their family!
Each and every swimmer should feel extremely proud of themselves 😍
To top it all off, there were multiple PB’s achieved by each of the swimmers and, a huge amount of podium placings and top ten final placings for them 👏
