Apparently running a small local business is not for the faint hearted π
So far, in our little town, we have had:
A $500 business sign stolen.
Dog s**t put in our mailbox.
Other local businesses offering my PT clients better deals and trying to poach them.
Angry faces slapped on comments when someone dares recommend Bad Ass Training.
And apparently, being brutally honest, saying things how they are and refusing to blow smoke up peoples arses is enough to upset a few people too π€·ββοΈπ
The funniest part?
We know who is behind some of it π
And honestly, Iβm not even angry anymore. I actually find it bloody hilarious.
Because imagine being so bothered by a business that started from absolute scratch, with no franchise name, no big investors, no fancy backing, just one woman, a whole heap of hard work, originality, determination and probably an unhealthy amount of caffeine... that you feel the need to steal their sign or put dog s**t in their mailbox π©π
That is some serious commitment to being threatened by someone elseβs success.
And as for trying to poach clients by offering them deals... desperate much? If you have to chase someone elseβs clients instead of building your own business, that says far more about you than it ever will about me.
Maybe people donβt like my honesty.
Maybe people donβt like my bluntness.
Maybe some people would prefer I sugar-coat everything and tell everyone what they want to hear.
Sorry, but that has never been me.
What I will do is help people.
Be honest with people.
Celebrate people.
Support other local businesses.
Work my arse off.
And yes, while we are putting everything on the table... be a damn good trainer too π
So if my little award-winning studio that I built from scratch is enough of a threat to make people steal signs, leave presents in the mailbox and chase my clients...
Well.
I guess I must be doing something right π€·ββοΈπ
Karma has a funny way of sorting things out, and luckily for me, Iβve got plenty of resilience, a thick skin and a business that keeps growing anyway.
Stay mad. Iβll stay busy πββοΈ
Bad Ass Training: apparently living rent free in a few peopleβs heads since day one πππ€

If you want to lose body fat, gain weight, build muscle, tone up or change your body, then at some point you need to get honest about your food.
If you are currently eating whatever, whenever, and nothing is changing, sorry, but you probably need some guidance around food.
I hear it all the time.
"But I eat healthy."
"It's just my age."
"It's just menopause."
"Nothing works for me."
Ladies, Iβm calling your bluff.
Before anyone comes for me, yes, age and menopause can absolutely affect your body. Hormones change, muscle mass changes, activity levels change and things are not always as simple as they were years ago.
But they are not a free pass to ignore the basics.
If you want to lose body fat but you are eating more calories than your body needs, you are not going to lose body fat.
If you want to gain weight or build muscle but you are not eating enough, you are going to struggle.
If you are under eating, over eating, barely eating protein, guessing your portions, grazing all day or having absolutely no idea how much food you are actually consuming, then saying "I eat healthy" is not the whole story.
Healthy food still has calories.
Too much of anything can put you in a calorie surplus.
Too little food can leave you lacking energy and make it harder to build muscle, train properly and get the results you want.
And here is another truth.
You cannot always eat the same way you did when you were 20 and expect the same results.
Sorry, but you are not 20 anymore.
Your body has changed.
Your lifestyle has changed.
Your activity levels may have changed.
Your muscle mass may have changed.
So stop trying to work with the body you had 20 years ago.
Work with the body you have NOW.
You do not need to starve yourself.
You do not need to cut out every food you enjoy.
You do not need another detox, magic tea, skinny shake or bulls**t fad diet.
But you may need to start tracking.
You may need to learn about calories.
You may need to understand protein.
You may need to learn what your body actually needs for your goal.
Whether you want to lose body fat, gain weight, build muscle, get stronger or simply feel better in your own skin, I can help.
But I cannot do the work for you.
You need to be willing to get honest about what you are eating, learn what works for YOUR body and then put in the work.
No bulls**t.
No magic.
Just facts, education, consistency and effort.
That is where results happen.

PROTEIN. RAW FACTS. NO FLUFF. π₯©
Protein isnβt just for bodybuilders.
And for women in midlife and beyond, it becomes even more important.
As we age, we naturally lose muscle mass and strength. Adequate protein, alongside resistance training, helps support muscle maintenance, strength, recovery and healthy ageing.
Protein also helps keep you fuller for longer, making it easier to manage your nutrition without constantly hunting for the biscuit tin. π
Eggs. Chicken. Beef. Fish. Greek yoghurt. Cottage cheese. Lean mince. Protein shakes.
Every meal: think PROTEIN FIRST.
Train hard. Eat enough. Get your protein in.
Strong women need strong muscles. πͺπ₯
