It is with sadness we acknowledge the passing of former Taupō District Mayor David Trewavas.
Serving Taupō District Council from 2013 to 2025, David was a huge supporter and advocate of IRONMAN, present on race day and intrinsic in supporting the event each year. He was also integral in supporting the hosting of the 2024 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Taupō, bringing thousands of IRONMAN athletes to the beautiful Taupō region. Our thoughts are with David’s family and the district of Taupō.
