Community accounting in action!

It was wonderful seeing our Massey University - Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa accounting student team meet with their organisation, Te Hōnonga a Iwi - Restoring Rosedale Park.

A huge thank you to the organisation for their incredible generosity in sharing their knowledge, insight, and time with the students.

Looking around the group, the diversity of this group really stood out—it genuinely felt like a mini-world coming together for a shared purpose. Excited to see the impact of this collaboration!

Wishing 2026 a brighter, more capable, and more cohesive year for communities across Aotearoa.

Photos from Auckland Community Accounting's post 31/12/2025

2025 has been an incredible year of growth and collective impact for Community Accounting. This year represented real people, real communities, and real change across Aotearoa.

We saw rapid growth, with 163 Expressions of Interest in one semester, more than four times the previous year, leading to an additional mid-year intake and wider reach across regions and ethnic communities. The impact speaks for itself — organisations strengthened governance and financial capability, secured funding, and students gained valuable NZ experience, with several moving into local roles and full-time employment.

None of this would be possible without the generosity of our students, the dedication of our CA mentors, the trust of our community organisations, and the tireless support of the ANCAD team and Massey University School of Accounting. When we strengthen financial systems and governance, we strengthen our communities.

Thank you for being part of this journey — we look forward to continuing the mahi together in 2026 💚
