Steelformers Netball Club is already looking ahead to the 2027 season and we’re on the lookout for passionate people to join our coaching team! 🏐

A huge congratulations to our incredible Club Coordinator, coach, mentor and all-round superstar, Tanisha Askew, on receiving a Netball Taranaki volunteer of the month award 🏆👏

Tanisha gives so much of her time, energy and passion to our club and the people in it. From coaching and developing our players, to supporting our teams, sharing her knowledge, organising, encouraging and always going above and beyond, there is very little she doesn’t do! 🏐💙

Her commitment to helping our players grow, both on and off the court, is something we are incredibly grateful for. She is always there with advice, encouragement, a few laughs, and the occasional tough love when we need it! 😂

Volunteer of the Month Winner

Congratulations to Tanisha Askew who has won the Netball New Zealand Volunteer of the Month for Taranaki in conjunction with WM New Zealand.

Tanisha received a lovely nomination:
“Tanisha consistently volunteers her time as club coordinator for the Steelformers Netball Club, ensuring the smooth operation of club activities for the benefit of all members. She consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to the club and regularly goes above and beyond in her role. In addition to already coaching one team, Tanisha also stepped forward to take on the responsibility of coaching a second team that was without a coach further highlighting her dedication and leadership.”
