The Waihāhā Hut Track is a shared-use backcountry trail on the western side of Lake Taupō, winding alongside the beautiful Waihāhā River through shrubland and dense Lush native bush before reaching the Waihāhā Hut.

🚵‍♂️ Grade 4 / Advanced
📍 Approx. 9km one way (18km return)

Expect a real backcountry experience with narrow sections, rocks, roots, technical terrain, and a few spots where less experienced riders may choose to walk.

As this is a shared trail, please ride with care, respect other trail users, and know your limits 👍

The update you've all been asking about has finally landed.
From 7 July, eligible Bosch Gen 5 CX E-bikes can be upgraded from 32 km/h to 45 km/h. 🚀(view below)

Updating is easy:
⚡ Book your bike into the EBR workshop.
⚡ We'll submit the request to Bosch.
⚡ Once processed (can take a couple of days), we'll install the update and you'll be good to go.

Compatible motor systems:
✔ Performance Line CX (BDU384Y)
✔ Performance Line CX-R (BDU386Y)
✔ Cargo Line (BDU384Y)

It's taken a little longer than many hoped, but if there's one thing the Germans are known for, it's taking the time to get things right. Bosch has thoroughly tested and validated this update to ensure it delivers the performance riders expect without compromising the reliability the brand is famous for.
