We're still and a little at the opportunity of having two of the current stars and run skills sessions with our juniors and a handful of our seniors this afternoon! 🤯

Our teams are hugely thankful for the opportunity, and are looking forward to seeing the Whai in action at this week's game against the Manawatu Jets at QEYC, Tauranga! 🏀

These teams played with heart and mana in this pre-season tournament, and never let anything dampen their vibe!

Mihi atu ki ngā kōtiro mā mo to koutou awhi mo te tīma JPC Kōura! Huge thanks to all girls who supported our JPC Kōura by chucking on a singlet and giving your time so that our she-ballers could play! Hope you enjoyed yourselves, too? 😁

JPC Angitu: we went from strength to strength in this tournament, and hope we're ready to take on the Rotorua League! You embodied the kīwaha "Tūwhitia te hopo, mairangatia te angitū! So proud! ☺️

Our Junior Development team combo playing under JPC Ua (filled up by JPC Uira), you've got to start somewhere, and we're stoked that you took up the wero! Take notes, and take them to your trainings with your exceptional coaches, and we'll head into the regular season strong as ever! Trust! 🙏

In a nail-biter, our Senior Prems Grade lads, the JPC Manawa, held up a strong Te Awamutu College team.

With a skeleton team of 6 to begin with, we had a player fouled out in the second quarter, but soldiered on with our 5, or 4.5 with another player rolling his ankle coming off a basket 🥵

It was a physical and intense game out there, with great athleticism on display - the last couple minutes were tit for tat, but with seconds on the clock, the opposition dug deep to take it out by one point - 84-85.

Congratulations to our skeleton team of plus our plethora of support. Special mention to and who started with us but weren't able to finish with us! 🙏
