🌀 I read something today about endurance and even though it was unrelated to dance, I felt it drew some parallels 🌀

Endurance is lasting
You cannot rush a harvest
You prepare soil
You plant
You wait
And growth happens quietly long before it becomes visible
Development is through repetition, correction and refinement
Endurance is consistency
We show up
We act with integrity
And we repeat
Endurance provides foundation
It adjusts, it adapts, it continues
It survives boredom and doubt
It survives lack of applause
If we are building something real - like skill, it’s not going to feel grand most days
It’s going to feel repetitive and unseen and ordinary
But that doesn’t mean it isn’t working
It means that it’s structural
Character is built in ordinary choices that are made consistently
If you’re not feeling fireworks, that may not be failure
That may be endurance
And that outlasts excitement
Excitement and hype is loud but endurance is lasting
