Raukura Central top order bat, Dan Ford amassed 640 runs in his UK summer as his season with Winnington Park CricketClub comes to a close.
The Whakatane lad top scored with 86 and whilst he may lament on leaving some runs out there, the experience will be invaluable for his next cricketing chapter.

Rotorua overseas player series continues...

Alex Roy joined Geyser Geyser City Sports Club in 23-24 summer and made a huge impact on a young developing side. Alex always had aspirations of higher honours and his stint in NZ was part of his pathway. He was rewarded with his first Netherlands international cap v USA and has also been picked by the Belfast Wolves in their T20 Irish series.
There is another Rotorua link to the Netherlands team with Geyser coach, Chris Pringle, son, Tim Pringle in the side.

Earlier today, we sent an email out to youth players and their parents across the BOP - calling for expressions of interest (EOI) in our 26-27 Rangatahi (Youth Representative) programme.

How good is Jayden Levitt!

Jayden was a Williams Cup winner with Central Cricket Club, Rotorua back in 2007. He has been dominating Boars Cricket Club UK recently and has been recognised by the England National 40's selection. Not content with just making up the numbers, Jayden has racked up international scores of 77, 40 and 61 v Ireland, Scotland and Wales at the top of the order. It seems only injury will keep him from selection for the World Cup 40's in Guyana later this year. We are following you from NZ fella!

Do you have the passion to inspire the next generation of cricketers?

Rotorua Cricket Association, in conjunction with Bay of Plenty Cricket, is looking for In-School Cricket Coaches to help create memorable first experiences with cricket for tamariki across the Rotorua district.

These are paid positions.

We’re looking for someone who can walk onto a school field with enthusiasm, bring the fun, build confidence, and leave every child excited to pick up a bat again.

The ideal person will:
✅ Have a passion for working with young people.
✅ Be confident delivering coaching sessions independently.
✅ Be an excellent communicator with students, teachers and whānau.
✅ Conduct themselves professionally and be a positive role model.
✅ Bring plenty of energy, enthusiasm and encouragement.
✅Pass police vetting for working in schools.

You’ll play a huge part in making their first experience one they’ll remember.

You’ll be supported through ongoing coach education and development opportunities, helping you grow your knowledge and confidence.
