Tomorrow marks an exciting milestone as our Team New Zealand Junior Roller Derby World Cup 2027 squad comes together for their very first training in Wellington! 🌿🛼

For the first time, our 2027 World Cup skaters will hit the track together as Team NZ, beginning the mahi, building connections and taking those first steps on the road towards representing Aotearoa on the world stage. 🇳🇿🌏

We’re also excited to welcome a group of development skaters to the weekend. These young skaters are part of the future of junior roller derby in New Zealand, and we’re stoked to have them training alongside the team, learning, challenging themselves and gaining valuable experience.

There’s a lot of hard work ahead, but tomorrow is where it begins.

New teammates. New challenges. One team. One goal. 🖤

We are so proud to announce the skaters selected to represent Aotearoa at the 2027 JRDA World Cup in Scotland.

This team has been chosen not only for their skating skills, but for their attitude, determination, teamwork, coachability, and heart.

To every skater who trialled, thank you. You should be so proud of what you brought to the track.

To our 2027 team, congratulations. The journey starts now, and we cannot wait to stand behind you as you prepare to wear the fern on the world stage.

The Sulphur City Steam Rollers and Roller Derby Association NZ Inc - Rdanzi are planning on co-hosting Regional Rumble in Rotorua over Labour weekend (24/25th October) 😀💪💙💜

This will be a WFTDA aligned tournament for A Level/ High B level players.

In order to progress, we need to be assured of high interest from our derby community.
