The focus and effort from everyone was fantastic, with students putting in the hard work as we head into grading this weekend. It's great to see such dedication, determination, and willingness to learn from all grades.

We’re a wee whanau here at our karate club. Some of our members were nervous and apprehensive when they first joined, but they’ve since made friends for life. All are welcome to join, all we ask is that you bring enthusiasm and respect for the martial art!

What a session at JKA Rolleston. Lots of sweat, smiles, and sharp focus as our students pushed hard prepping for the next grading.

From white belts nailing their first kata to more senior grades fine‑tuning kumite timing, the dojo energy was unreal. Big kiai, big improvements, and even bigger spirit. Oss!

Keep turning up, keep polishing those basics, and trust the work you’re putting in. Sensei saw some real breakthroughs tonight.
