Day 2 Wrap-Up | Summer at the Trots ✨🏁

That’s a wrap on Day 2 of Summer at the Trots, and what an incredible way to finish our two-day carnival.

We were treated to great racing, a fantastic on-course atmosphere, and a crowd that embraced everything the day had to offer. From fabulous fashion, to family fun with games, activities and plenty of treats, the park was buzzing from start to finish.

A huge thank you must go to the hardworking committee, on-course staff and volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes. Your dedication, time and passion are what make events like this possible, and we couldn’t do it without you.

Thank you to everyone who came along, supported racing in our community, dressed up, joined in, and helped make our Summer at the Trots carnival such a success.

We already can’t wait to do it all again next year! 🙌

Congratulations Riley Harrison, Junior Driver for Diamond Racing Stables winner of the Nelson Harness Racing Club's Junior Driver Competition across the Summer at the Trots Carnival.

Riley picked up two winners on Day 1 which helped to secure her 14 points ahead of stable rivalry driver, Jacob Dunn on 5 points.

The last of the day, Race 11 the NBS Mobile Pace 1609m was won by CAPTIAN TYRON, trained by R & J Dunn and driven by John Dunn.

Congratulations Diamond Racing Stables on 8 wins over the carnival. A huge achievement!

What a moment at Summer at the Trots!

The Great Mayoral Pace was claimed by Tasman Mayor, Tim King, expertly guided in the sulky by Olivia Thornley, showing great composure to take the win.

They crossed the line a length ahead of Nick Smith, alongside Sam Thornley in a head-to-head battle.

A fantastic race, and plenty of smiles all round! 👏

Race 9 the Tasman Empress Sprint Series Heat 2 Mobile Pace 1609m was won by GONE SURFIN, trained by R & J Dunn (Woodend Beach) and driven by John Dunn.
