THE OGS! | Where the MAINPOWER PRIMARY SCHOOL COACHING PROGRAMME all started! Back in 2008 when two boys, fresh from tertiary study, approached NC Sports Trust and proposed an in-schools coaching programme. Supported by research out of Lincoln University University, NC Sports decided to trial the programme with a few schools. 18 years later and we employ 8 full-time coaches, managed by Wendy Cathcart, our awesome programme co-ordinator, to work with over 40 North Canterbury primary schools - a programme recently recognised nationally by NZ Sport. You couldn’t get more grass roots than that! Thank you Ricki Jacobs and Scott Beckingsale for positively impacting so many young lives. 🏆
