Hi everyone,

A lot of work has been happening behind the scenes at Te Mata Tennis Club in preparation for the coming season with an Open Day planned for early October.

Lots of changes being planned and discussed around club structure, membership fees, court booking system, sponsorship, website and social media platforms, coaching as well as the rebuild of the pavilion.

We are always looking for helpers and value all feedback and invite anyone wanting to have input or simply support our cause to join us at our next short meeting this Friday 3rd July 9.00AM at Te Mata School.

Cmon, you know you want to!

Te Mata Tennis Club – Community Helpers Wanted

The Te Mata Tennis Club is looking for parents and community members who are willing to lend a hand and support the future of tennis in our community.

Over the past couple of years the club has been working hard to improve the courts and facilities so that students and community members can continue to enjoy playing tennis. To keep this momentum going, we need a few more people who are willing to contribute their time, skills, or ideas.

You don’t need to join a committee or make a big commitment. We’re simply looking for people who might be able to help in small ways — whether that’s practical skills, helping with projects, offering advice, or supporting events.

If you’re interested in helping ensure that local kids and community members can continue to play tennis, we’d love to see you at a short meeting to talk about how people might get involved.

Meeting: Tuesday 31st March

Time: 9.00am

Location: School staff room

Even if you can only help occasionally, your support would make a real difference.

This meeting has the aim of initiating the final steps of becoming an Inc. society to manage the club activities as momentum grows.

Ps: it is fabulous to see all sessions FULL for Hamilton Tennis Academy first night of coaching last night.

Thank you for supporting our first season of coaching, right here in Te Mata.
Beginning Thursday 12th Feb.
Just the 5-6 age group needs a few more to run. All others have a few places left, and are all go.

Racquets can be provided. Tennis skills are great for hand/eye coordination etc especially for this age group, these skills are invaluable for life, sport & education 👀🎾💪🏼

For the adults, Cardio Tennis is a fun & fast session combining skills, rallies, strategy & coaching for all abilities, all wrapped into one.

Te Mata Tennis Club wishes to pass their condolences to all the Carter family, especially our tennis brothers Ben and Tim.
Gary was always supportive of our tennis club and instrumental in helping fund our courts rebuild through the Kauroa Saleyards Committee and we will be forever grateful.
He has been a huge part of this community, loved and respected by all those who knew him and will be sadly missed.
