Meet Jahmin 🤙🏼
Jah is a local and has been a surf coach with Raglan Surf School for 4 years. He has surfed his whole life and was part of the Raglan Surf Academy in high school. We are so lucky to have him as he’s one of the kindest people in town and always keeps the vibes high. When he’s not surfing Jah loves playing volleyball reading and hanging with friends at the harbour view.

Meet our fearless leader ROCK 🪨
Raglan Surf School was the first surf school to open in New Zealand and our owner Rock has been part of the team since the very beginning. 27 years of instructing and 50 years shredding waves, rock is the father of surfing here in Raglan. He’s also a dad to 2 little girls that have grown up at the surf school and will soon be the next greatest groms. Rock grew up in Raglan and is a big part of the Māori community. He speaks only Te Reo at home with his wife Emily, strengthening local Māoritanga. He’s tough as nails (hence the nickname Rock) with a kind heart and love for his family and community. Rock takes great care of us instructors and makes us all feel like family. Thanks dad we 🫶🏻 you.

Meet Raglans most handsome surf coach Ollie!!
Ollie was originally from the UK but grew up in New Zealand and was born to teach! He is very friendly and always has people laughing. We love having him on our team and he gets 10/10 reviews from all the people he helps learn to surf. When the waves aren’t pumping Ollie loves reading and cooking lasagna and painting!
He’s gonna travel around the world as a surf instructor after winter so be sure to book a lesson soon!

Meet Luca!
Luca has been instructing for us for years and is on his way to becoming a pro surfer once he graduates from the surf academy! He’s won countless surf competitions and recently got 2nd place in the SurfingNZ nationals. He also represented New Zealand in the Isa wold junior surfing championships last year in Peru. When the surfs not pumping Luca is fiery and funny loves volleyball, golf, enjoys some good kai and playing sports.
