KIDS CLASS SPACES AVAILABLE
There are currently free spaces in our kids class for those 5+
on Mondays at The Raglan Bowling Club from 5:30-6:30pm and Thursdays. This week will be an opportunity for new students to drop in.
- There is ample parking outside of the Bowling Club and on the street.
- Parents and family are more than welcome to stay and watch however there is no play area inside or on the bowling greens for children not participating in the session and the greens are strictly off limits,
- There is a toilet on site. Students will need to wear jandals when entering the toilet area to prevent spreading germs on the mat.
- Children are expected to come clean, with all sores and scabs covered.
- Children who have gis should be coming in them. If your child does not have a gi shorts and a rugby jersey or similar would suffice. A drink bottle would also be great.

What an awesome Thursday session. Renea and some of the crew from Hamilton Sambo made the trip out from Hamilton for a shared session. Travis shared a half guard reset to Butterfly and sweep, Hamish Ouchi Gari, Phil Crucifix and lapel choke and Mark a mount escape. We then rolled out the rest of the session in and around questions and just some good chat and yarns. It was great to catch up and begin and in some cases reignite buyu.

A big thank you to the whole crew for sharing the mat with us and sharing your knowledge and being receptive to ours, to Renea for organising and to all the Raglan Rollers who came along to share the good vibes. Ka Rawe!

KIDS CLASSES
TERM 3 2026
Kids classes are back on from Monday at The Raglan Bowling Club from 5:30-6:30pm and Thursdays. Working to develop kids skills on the mat so they can apply lessons off the mat to be respectful, brave, confident and overall awesome.
To participate students need to compete the linked document. We will be continuing to cap the size of class, with priority given to existing members and we will then be filling any space based on this document and order in which we have recieved requests to join. Given the number of requests we ask that you confirm which day/days your child wishes to train.
Reminders:

We have set up a new bank account for payments. If you could please edit your payment details to 38-9015-0692928-01 Travis Browne. This will be the new account until a final club account is set up.

For all previous and current members the fee will be kept at $40 per month. For all new members from this point on the fee will be increasing to $50 per month. This is the first price increase in the club's history and my first price increase in 20 years and I hope everyone can appreciate with inflation and other world issues the need to do this at this juncture.
