Kintyre Isle of Skye
15.3hh (approx) Dark bay Clyde X mare, born 2020

Skye is a delightful solid little mare, easy to have around and to handle in all ways. Good for the farrier (barefoot), runs up the truck ramp, kids can handle her no worries etc. There is no dirt whatsoever in this lovely wee horse.

She has had a fabulous start to life being well started by Kelley Molloy, flat schooled and hacked by her owner, and has spent the season with us to be produced into a hunter while also being utilised in our trail riding and lesson program. As a part of our large team, Skye attended all the weekly hound work pre season, hunted almost every week, including attending birchwood hunt week and lots of trips away.

Skye has taken to hunting like a duck to water and is a joy to ride. She is happy to ride anywhere in the field, jumps everything - planks, battens, small inviting wires etc. She has had a variety of riders on board this season and looked after them all. She is keen and forward, while still happy to wait with her mates while the field canters off. Skye is hound focussed and not worried about the hounds around her feet. Happy to go off on her own to chase some hounds when need be and frequently used to pack the hounds up on the way home. If our season had been a bit longer I would have happily taken her out whipping at this stage.

I see Skye as a great horse for an experienced hunter. She would be just as happy cruising around with the kids as a mums horse as she would be as a member of a whipping team.

Available due to no fault of her own, she has simply not grown as tall as her (tall) owner/breeder had hoped.

Springvale Pandemonium

“Panda” has been there done that and got the t shirt. Seeking a gutsy little rider of his own, Panda is the cutest little dude with just the right dose of welsh pony sass to keep life interesting.

Panda loves hunting and hacking, where he is totally in his element loving life. His ideal home would be with a horsey family on a farm who does a little bit of everything – hacking, hunting, pony club, show jump days etc

Panda has been in professional environments most of his life, starting off with Event Stars, spending 2 years with Ardlussa Equine in the riding school, and then been with a little rider of his own who has since outgrown him, prior to him coming to us for the Summer on loan. As a result of this he is easy to catch, wash, truck, clip, float, stands for the farrier, can chuck him in with anyone that needs a paddock mate etc.

Like any small pony he requires good grass management and good fencing, and some variety in life. In exchange he will provide your child with endless adventures, entertainment, and a thorough education in all things pony on their journey as an equestrian.
