⚽️ QAFC U10 — Wanaka Tournament - 3rd Overall! 🥉

What a tournament for our QAFC U10 team! 💙

We finished 3rd overall with 4 wins, 1 loss and 1 draw, topping our pool along the way.

Our results:

QAFC 4–1 Northern Junior AFC

QAFC 4–1 Wanaka Black

QAFC 4–2 Cromwell Thunder

QAFC 2–2 Wanaka Gold

Semi-final: QAFC 0–4 Wanaka Gold

3rd-place playoff: QAFC vs. Dunedin City Royals

We had a tough run, having to face the eventual tournament winners, Wanaka Gold, twice. We drew with them in the pool match before meeting them again in the semi-final. A big ask for the team, but they kept fighting right to the end.

We also beat the team that finished 2nd overall, and our results included wins over Dunedin City, Northern, Cromwell, and Wanaka Black.

And a special congratulations to Johnnie Frisbee, who took out the U10 Golden Boot! ⚽️🏆

It was a fantastic effort from a very happy team. We are so proud of the way they played, battled, and supported each other throughout the tournament. 💙⚽️🥉

🏆 Gold Coast Premier Invitational — Day 3

Seven games unbeaten in regular time. What a day.

Quarter Final

All Stars 0 — Junior Rovers 1
⚽ Austin

In unbelievable heat, we knew the game would come down to small margins. After a tight first half, Austin produced a moment of class, finishing a brilliant slide-rule pass from Isa into the top corner.

All Stars pushed hard, but some desperate defending and a few big saves saw us hold on for a massive quarter-final win.

Semi Final

Melbourne Victory 2 — Junior Rovers 2

We were more than holding our own before two minutes of madness just before half-time left us 2–0 down.

What followed was one of the best displays of fight and determination I’ve seen from the boys.

With five minutes to go, Miller beat his defender and squared for Marcel to make it 2–1. From the kick-off, we won a corner, and Miller produced an unbelievable bicycle kick to level it.

2–2. Pandemonium.

We nearly stole it at the death, but it went to penalties. The Victory keeper saved three — a brutal way to lose after such an incredible comeback.

3rd/4th Place

Virginia FC 2 — Junior Rovers 3
⚽ Miller, Charlie, Austin

Another crazy, back-and-forth game to finish an extraordinary few days, with the boys digging deep to get the win.

Nine games. Seven unbeaten in regular time. A semi-final against an A-League academy. And a group of boys who never stopped fighting.

What a tournament! Our U11 boys finished runners up in Wānaka after a nail-biting final that ended 2–2, followed by an exciting penalty shootout! 👏🔥

A valiant effort from every single one of the boys — what a team performance and a fantastic achievement. 💪💙

A huge thank you to Coach Al for all the time, effort, and encouragement throughout the tournament. 🙌

⚽️ U11 Boys — Day 2 Update! 🔥🏆

WHAT A DAY! 🙌⚽️

After a tough Day 1, the boys came back yesterday with an incredible response — 3 games, 3 wins! 💪🔥

Our Day 2 results:

⚽️ 4–1 Win vs. Logan Metro MF
⚽️ 4–1 Win vs. Pimpama FC
⚽️ 2–0 Win vs. Magic United FQ

10 goals scored. Just 2 conceded. 🔥⚽️

The boys showed incredible determination, teamwork, and resilience throughout the day. They bounced back from Friday, backed each other, played some fantastic football, and gave everything on the pitch. ❤️💪

That fantastic run means we’ve earned ourselves a spot in the Europa Cup Quarter Finals! 🏆🔥

We couldn’t be prouder of how the boys have responded and the way they continue to fight for each other. Now it’s time to reset, recover, and get ready for the next challenge…

⚽️ QAFC U11 Boys — Day 1 Update! ☀️

What a day for our boys! Three games, plenty of heart, and some great football played under the hot Aussie sun. 🇦🇺🔥

Our Day 1 results:

⚽️ 4–4 Draw vs. Coolum FC
⚽️ 1–2 Loss vs. Elle Football Academy
⚽️ 1–1 Draw vs. Southport FC

Unfortunately, the results mean we’re out of the running for the Premier Cup, but that’s not stopping us! 💪

Tomorrow, we come back stronger, hungrier, and more determined as we set our sights on the Europa Division! 🏆

The boys fought right until the final whistle in every game, showed incredible resilience, and gave it everything despite the heat. We couldn’t be prouder of their effort. ❤️⚽️

Most importantly, we’re loving every minute of this experience — making memories, building team bonds, and enjoying the journey together.

The second half of our QAFC U11s are officially on their way! 💙✈️

Queenstown Airport is looking a little more blue today, with the rest of the squad packed, excited, and ready to join their teammates on the Gold Coast. 🇳🇿🇦🇺

The first group has already landed, and now it won’t be long until the full QAFC crew is back together — ready for football, fun, and one epic adventure! 🙌⚽️

From airport goodbyes to plane rides, team laughs, new experiences, and plenty of football ahead… this is what memories are made of. 💙

🛫 AND SO IT BEGINS… ⚽️🌴

From Queenstown to the Gold Coast — the first group of our QAFC U11s are officially on their way! 💙

There’s something pretty special about seeing the boys together at the airport, bags packed, shirts on, and a big adventure ahead. ✈️⚽️

This photo is just half the squad though… The rest of the team is flying out tomorrow, and then the full QAFC crew will be together on the Gold Coast! 🙌

From here, it’s about soaking it all in — the travel, the football, the new experiences, the laughs, and everything that comes with representing Queenstown AFC on the other side of the Tasman. 🇳🇿🇦🇺

Next stop: Premier Invitational Gold Coast.

✈️⚽️ QAFC U11 ARE GOLD COAST BOUND! 🌴☀️

The final training session in Queenstown is done, the bags are packed, and the excitement is building! 🙌

Our Queenstown AFC U11 team is heading off to the Gold Coast this week to take on the Gold Coast Premier Invitational! 🇳🇿➡️🇦🇺

What an opportunity for the boys to test themselves against new teams, experience a fantastic tournament, and most importantly, enjoy the game they love. ⚽️💙

A huge effort from the team throughout their preparation and a massive thank you to the coaches, parents, supporters, and everyone who has helped make this trip possible.

Now it’s time to represent Queenstown AFC with pride, play with courage, enjoy every moment, and make some great memories! 💪🔥

⚽️ DAY 2 IN INVERCARGILL ⚽️

Another fantastic day for our Queenstown AFC teams, with both the U9s and U11s finishing their tournaments with plenty to be proud of. 💙

Our U9s finished in 3rd place after topping their group and coming up against Dunedin Royal Aces in the semi-final. The Aces went on to win the tournament, so we knew we had been beaten by a quality side.

The boys bounced back brilliantly in the 3rd/4th place playoff against Old Boys Invaders, putting in a great performance to come away with a 4–0 victory and secure 3rd place. 👏🔥

Our U11s also topped their group and carried that form into the semi-final, winning without conceding — meaning the boys had gone through five games without letting in a goal! 🧱💪

Unfortunately, it wasn't to be in the final against Dunedin City Royals, going down 3–0. But the result doesn't take away from what was a fantastic tournament for the boys. They couldn't have given any more and played some excellent passing football throughout the day, showing great composure, teamwork, and quality.

A massive congratulations to both teams. 3rd place for the U9s and runners-up for the U11s — two brilliant achievements and plenty of positives to take home. 💙⚽️

A huge thank you as always to our coaches, parents, families, and supporters for getting behind the boys throughout the weekend.

🏆 WHAT A DAY FOR QAFC! ⚽️💙

What a fantastic day at the Old Boys U14 Tournament, with both our U13s and U12s taking home the trophy! 🏆🏆

🔥 U13s — Champions!
The U13s battled their way to a brilliant 2–1 victory over Green Island U14s in the final. A fantastic team effort against a very good and physical GI side. The boys showed great determination, teamwork, and QAFC spirit to get the job done! 💪⚽️

🔥 U12s — Champions!
Our U12s also won their final against Green Island, in an absolute thriller! With the tournament using sudden-death knockout instead of penalty shootouts, the game went all the way down to 3v3 before QAFC found the winner! 😱🙌 What a way to finish!

💙 And our U10s!
We had two U10 teams competing, and both did QAFC proud. They played some fantastic football, showed great team spirit, and represented the club brilliantly. 👏⚽️

A huge THANK YOU to all our coaches, parents, and supporters for making it such a great day. The effort and support behind these teams is what makes days like this so special. 💙

And guess what… tomorrow we go again! 😁

The U9s, U11s, and U13s are back in action — let’s bring that QAFC spirit again! 🔵⚪️
