Modern Jive is a fun, simple and easy to learn, lead and follow style dance. No rhythm, partner, or prior skills required. Come along and give it a go!

Intermediate class at 7pm
Beginners at 8pm
Then Freestyle (practice/“have fun with it” time!) until 9:30pm

First Timers Offer of 5 classes for $50 (to be used within 2 calendar months or on arrangement with teacher)

We hope you can join us for the last class of 2025. I know it’s a crazy time of year but, if you can, it would be great to see you there. We can get our bodies moving and boost our metabolism to help pre-burn off the holiday treats!!! 😁🍾🥂🍻🍫🍰🍨

This exercise would be great to get your arms flowing, especially fr follows but also for leads. By getting your body used to these kind of actions, you might find more flow come into your top line when dancing. Also a great brain workout!!!

Join us for a free Modern Jive lesson next Tuesday at Community Dance with Dance Social NZ's Emma Dagg! Emma has been teaching Modern Jive in Queenstown for 23 years and loves how this free-form partner dance allows people to express themselves in their own unique way.

Originating in the 1980s, Modern Jive blends elements of various dance styles, making it a fun and supportive space for all skill levels to shine.
