Or maybe you've watched a game and thought, “Hang on… was that actually out?” 😂

Well, here's your chance to find out!

Franklin Softball is hosting a Level 1 Rules Pre-Test Meeting for anyone who wants to learn more about the rules of the game, brush up on their knowledge, ask questions and feel more confident before sitting the Softball New Zealand Level 1 Rules Test.

This is a great opportunity to come along, learn something new and get your head around the basics before taking the test.

🥎 WHO CAN TAKE THE TEST?

EVERYONE! 🙌

The Annual Rules Test is open to:

⚾ Umpires
⚾ Players
⚾ Scorers
⚾ Managers
⚾ Coaches
⚾ Spectators
⚾ Anyone who simply wants to know more about the game!

You don't need to be an umpire to sit the test.

In fact, we encourage everyone involved in softball to give it a go!

For the 2026/27 season, we'll be starting with Level 1 – Basic, making this a great place to start if you're new to the rules or just want to refresh your knowledge.

You might be surprised by how much you already know… and possibly even more surprised by the rules you thought you knew! 😜

Come along on the 18th of August, bring your questions, learn from Paddy, build your confidence and get yourself ready to put your knowledge to the test.
