Next Thursday's Yin yoga practice is an invitation to slow down, soften, and welcome the new season with mindful awareness.
Spring reminds us that growth can't be rushed, but can be supported. We don't pull on a seedling to help it grow. We create the conditions, offer patience, and trust the process. When we want growth in our own lives the process isn't so different. Ideally we create conditions supporting us and give ourselves some time.
Through gentle breathwork, long-held Yin Yoga shapes, meditation, and deep relaxation, we'll create space for rest, renewal, and new beginningsโboth in the body and in the mind.

๐ฟ Yin Yoga at Kimi Ora ๐ฟ
As children, curiosity comes naturally. We notice the little things, ask questions, explore, and experience the world with fresh eyes. As adults, life can become so busy that we forget how restorative it can be to simply slow down and notice.
This Thursday's Yin Yoga practice is an invitation to reconnect with that gentle sense of curiosityโtowards your breath, your body, your thoughts, and your experience in the present moment.
Not to change anything. Just to notice. Sometimes our greatest discoveries begin with a single moment of awareness.

โจ NEW MOON YIN YOGA โจ
Thursday, 13 August | 5:00โ6:30 pm
๐ Kimi Ora Eco Resort
Everything begins with alignment. When your thoughts, words, emotions and actions start moving in the same direction, something powerful happens. Life no longer feels like you're constantly swimming against the current. You have more clarity and energy. Your choices become easier. And what you are creating begins to reflect who you truly are.
The New Moon is a beautiful time to pause. To reconnect with what genuinely matters.
During this nourishing Yin Yoga practice we'll slow down, soften the body, calm the nervous system, and create space to listen beneath the mental chatter.

How we experience life depends not only on what happens around us, but on how we perceive it. The same is true for ourselves. How clearly do we notice our body? Can we recognise the difference between tension and ease? Do we notice our thoughts as they arise, or do we become carried away by them? Can we simply observe our emotions without immediately trying to change them?
Yin Yoga invites us to slow down long enough to become open and curious. As the body becomes still, we begin to notice with acceptance what has always been thereโour breath, our sensations, our thoughts, our emotions.
Often, the clearer we perceive ourselves, the more clearly we begin to understand others. Awareness creates space. And in that space, we often find greater compassionโfor ourselves and for the people around us.

The ocean is always moving on the surface. Waves rise and fall. The tide comes and goes. Yet beneath it all, there is remarkable stillness. Our minds can be much the sameโbusy with thoughts, plans, memories, and worries.
This week's Yin Yoga practice is an invitation to settle beneath the surface, to pause for a while, and reconnect with the quiet place that has always been there.
The greatest gift we can give ourselves is simply to be fully present. As Eckhart Tolle beautifully wrote:
"Realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have."
Through long-held gentle Yin shapes, mindful breathing, meditation, and deep relaxation, we'll explore what it feels like to arriveโnot somewhere else, but here.

Yin yoga class at Kimi Ora this week is on Thursday 23 July ๐ฟ
Living in alignment is about bringing our thoughts, values, feelings, and actions into harmony. Yet in the busyness of everyday life, it's easy to lose touch with what truly matters to us.
This week's Yin Yoga practice is an invitation to slow down, soften, and reconnect with yourself. Through long-held gentle Yin shapes, mindful breathing, meditation, and deep relaxation, we'll create space to listen inward, cultivate greater clarity, and reconnect with what feels true for you.
When we live in alignment with what truly matters, our choices become clearer, our actions more intentional, and the life we're creating begins to reflect that.

๐ฟ Two Yin yoga classes this week at Kimi Ora Eco Resort ๐ฟ
Self-care is often thought of as something we do when we have time. In reality, it's one of the things that gives us more of it. When we care for our body and mind, we think more clearly, respond more calmly, and have more energy for the people and responsibilities that matter most.
Just as we wouldn't expect a car to keep running without fuel, we can't expect ourselves to keep giving without taking time to replenish.
Yin Yoga offers that opportunity. Through long-held supported poses, mindful breathing, and stillness, we create space to release physical tension, calm the nervous system, and reconnect with ourselves. Taking care of yourself isn't stepping away from life. It's preparing yourself to meet it with greater presence, resilience, and energy.

We take around 20,000 breaths every day. Most happen automatically. Yet every breath is an opportunity to influence how we feel, think, and respond to life.
When we breathe slowly and deeply, we activate the parasympathetic nervous system โ the part of our nervous system responsible for rest, repair, and recovery. Heart rate slows, muscles soften, and stress hormones begin to decrease. We create the internal conditions for greater clarity, emotional balance, and resilience.
Research shows that regular slow breathing can reduce stress and anxiety, improve emotional regulation, support better sleep, and even enhance focus and attention. Something remarkable also begins to happen. When we're no longer reacting automatically from a stressed state, we have more choice in how we respond, in the thoughts we believe, in the habits we strengthen. Over time, these repeated moments of awareness help create new neural pathways, making calmer, healthier responses more natural.
This Thursday we'll explore the breath through long-held Yin Yoga poses, mindfulness, and guided breathing practices.
A chance to slow down, to reset, to reconnect with yourselfโone breath at a time.
โจ Suitable for all levels, including beginners.

Sometimes the smallest shift in attention can change how we experience our whole day. Gratitude isn't about ignoring life's challenges. It's about noticing what is already here to support us. A deep breath. A healthy body. A kind conversation. The warmth of the winter sun.
Research suggests that even a few minutes of intentionally practising gratitude can increase positive emotions, activate the brain's reward and emotional regulation networks, and help shift our attention from what is lacking to what is already supporting us. With regular practice, gratitude has also been associated with lower stress, greater resilience, and improved overall well-being.
This Thursday, we'll explore gratitude through long-held Yin Yoga poses, mindful breathing, stillness, and a gentle guided meditation.
A chance to slow down, soften, and leave feeling a little lighter than when you arrived.
โจ Suitable for all levels, including beginners.
