Junior Prize Giving

The end of season junior prize giving will be split over two nights and will be held at The Anchor Church Hall

Grades 7 to 10 – Tuesday 26th August, 6.30pm start

Grades 11 to 14 and all the girls only teams – Wednesday 27th August, 6.30pm start

Please arrive in plenty of time so that the teams can be assembled ready for the event.

For the 14th grade West Eagles - we will try and organise two practises during the second week of the holidays leading to the match of 19th July.

Bit slow to update everyone...

West Astro's got back to their winning ways with a good 3-0 win against Onslow Kaukaus on Saturday. Erick scored two goals and Lewis scored the other. This leaves Astro's in 4th equal position with Wellington College.

West Eagles suffered a heart-breaking loss in the dying minutes of the game (actually it was overtime) and lost 4-3 against Eastbourne. The boys have come a long way and this was mentioned by the Eastbourne coach after the game who came up to our team and said he was impressed. Scorers were Jose with 2x and Matty scored his first for the season (earning him the Moment of the Match award). Last time they meet Eastbourne won 7-2. The team is really looking forward to putting in the hard yards and securing their first win of the season this Saturday.

West Eagle's suffered a heavy defeat going down 12-nil to Tawa. Unfortunately Liam McDonald suffered a heavy tackle/fall and will be out for several weeks with a discolated clavicle and is awaiting xray results to determine if he has fractured his collar-bone. We all wish him a speedy recovery. It was great to see Jackson Miles at the game today with his leg still in the brace but able to get around freely.
