U17 Capital Development League (CDL) Champions
What a fantastic achievement from this group. We are incredibly proud of the players and the way they have represented Olé and Western Suburbs throughout the season.
A huge thank you to all the players and parents for your commitment, support and belief. Achievements like this are built on the work that happens week after week at training, on game days and behind the scenes.
Coach James Sutcliffe:
“The group have been a pleasure to work with, collectively and individually. They have a high ceiling and, with continued hard work and drive, they can reach it.”
We are super proud of the grit, attitude and togetherness this group has shown. 🫡 It’s great to win but more importantly we look for promoting players who are ready to P2 & P1 teams (performance space).
Enjoy the moment — but this is only the beginning. We’re excited to see what’s coming next for this group.
Congratulations, boys! 🏆👏

FROM OLÉ ACADEMY TO U.S COLLEGE 🇺🇸
We say goodbye — for now — to Malakye Paterson as he begins an exciting new chapter.
Born in 2007, Malakye joined Olé Academy as an 8-year-old and progressed through our pathway year after year, all the way to our Capital Premier Team where he made his starting debut aged 15.
His journey is exactly what we want our player pathway to represent — long-term development, consistency, commitment and giving players the environment and opportunities to reach their potential.
Malakye has also given back to the Academy. Alongside being a player, he worked as a coach in our Foundation & Pre-Academy Phase, helping develop and inspire the next generation of Olé players.
A highlight from Mal’s coaching was going undefeated with the U-11s in 2025 during the winter.
Malakye, thank you for the memories, the hard work and everything you have contributed to our Academy over the past 11 years. We are incredibly proud of you and excited to follow your journey in the United States.
Go well, Malakye. Enjoy the experience, embrace the challenge and keep pushing your limits.
Once Olé, always Olé.

THANK YOU, CAM!
After an incredible coaching journey with Olé FA, we say farewell to Cameron Mackenzie as a coach — but thankfully, this is not goodbye.
Cam will continue to represent Olé Academy as a player with our First Team, while pursuing his professional career in Wellington.
Over the past few years, Cam has made a huge impact on our young players. His commitment, knowledge, energy and genuine care for player development have made him an invaluable part of our Academy.
This year special highlight was leading our U14s to an outstanding league-winning season, finishing unbeaten with 14 wins and 1 draw 🏆
For Cmac, coaching has always been about more than results it has been about developing players, building confidence and creating a winning mentality. We are incredibly grateful for everything he has contributed to the next generation of Olé players.
Thank you, Cam, for everything you have given to the Academy as a coach.
We are excited to keep watching you develop and compete on the pitch with our First Team.
Once Olé, always Olé.
