The Confirmed 2026/27 F2 Midget Season Calendar 🔥
The wait is over — the official 2026/27 F2 Midget season calendar is confirmed, and we’re gearing up for what is set to be the biggest, busiest and most competitive F2 Midget season yet!
With 15 club points meetings spread across the season, teams will have the opportunity to drop their worst result, meaning 14 rounds will count towards determining the overall Club Points Champion.

With 20+ registered drivers, a wave of exciting young talent joining the ranks, and some of the biggest events ever staged for F2 Midgets, this season is shaping up to be one you absolutely do not want to miss!

Racing will take place across some of New Zealand’s best open-wheel venues:

21 Speedway — Meremere

The addition of 21 Speedway at Meremere brings another exciting venue to the calendar and adds even more variety to what is already shaping up to be an action-packed championship.

👊 THE LEGENDS ARE COMING OUT!
One of the standout events of the season will be the Legends of F2 Midgets Meeting at Waharoa Speedway.
For one night, the drivers will hand over the controls and some of the people who have helped build these teams — crew chiefs, fathers, mentors, former drivers and F2 Midget heroes — will climb behind the wheel and go head-to-head.

It’s their chance to show the current generation exactly what it’s really all about!

This is one event you definitely DO NOT want to miss.

More than 20+ scheduled meetings, six incredible venues, a growing field of drivers, new talent, established stars and some seriously special events make this one of the most exciting F2 Midget seasons yet.

A friendly reminder that The F2 Midget Club memberships are still officially live for new and existing members the 2026/27 upcoming season. Make sure to fill these out to become apart of the F2 midget class today, with growing numbers, growing support and the best community in speedway, What more could you want !

This also allows you access to all racing updates, schedules and all the information you will ever need.

Wow, its already been a couple of weeks now since the F2 prizegiving was held to complete the 25-26 season.
So now its time to focus on planning for the 26-27 season, with racetracks starting to publish their upcoming race dates for us to create our season calendar, and teams working on their off-season maintenance and refurbishments.
We will be welcoming several new drivers to the class this season, and we expect the competition will be as strong as ever.

2025/26 F2 Midget Prizegiving Awards Night !

After another season of hotly contested, wheel to wheel action. The F2 Midgets have our annual prizegiving Saturday 20th of June at the Browns Bay Brewing Company.
With many prizes to be won, we would like to take this opportunity to invite everyone involed with The F2 Midgets this year, from drivers & crew, to family, friends, sponsors and supporters we would love to see you there and we want to celebrate it all with you !

So come on down to the Browns Bay Brewing Company on Saturday 20th of June and celebrate a year of great racing and huge accomplishments.

With our race season now completed, the teams had the opportunity last weekend to test out the resurrected high bank 1/3 mile track at Meremere’s 21 Speedway, and safe to say there was smiles all round!
Congratulations to all involved in this massive project, and F2 midgets NZ look forward to racing at this venue during the 26/27 season.

Tomorrow, May 3, gives us an opportunity to repay all the hard work put in throughout the season by our crews and car owners with Waharoa Speedway offering us a three race program and give these legends a chance to get behind the wheel and let it rip.
