Hoop Club Kapiti

Week 7 saw a couple of big upsets in the Hoop Club Winter Social League. Sobering Up picked up their first win of the season by beating PKB by 20 points, while Future Divorces knocked off ERRA Basketball in a thrilling contest. Only two weeks left in the regular season.

We will be holding our Annual Father’s Day fun on Sunday 6 September with some warm up fun and “Kids vs Dads” Games in each age group session.

5 to 7 year olds 9.30 – 10.30am

8 to 10 year olds 10.30 -11.30am

11 to 17 year olds 11.30 – 12.30pm

If Dad can’t make it, bring along an Older Brother, Uncle, Grandad or Friend.

Congrats to Keegan Baker who was awarded Player of the Week for Week 7 of the Hoop Club Kapiti Winter Social league. Keegan, of the famously named "Future Divorces", picked up 15 points in his team's upset victory over ERRA Basketball. With 5 points and 1 steal in the final 4 minutes of the game, Keegan was instrumental in getting the "Divorces" the 72-65 win.

An honourable mention this week to Dylan "Dills" Kennady, who had an absolute blinder 😎against PKB in the final game of the night. Dylan had a career-high 20 points as Sobering Up got their first victory of the season.

Big congrats to Andre van den Assum who picked up Player of the Week honours for Week 6 of our Hoop Club Social League 🥳. Dre poured in 37 points (including 18 in the first quarter!) in SCHMKY's victory over Future Divorces on Sunday.

Week 5 results and updated ladder for our Adult Social League. We've just passed the halfway point in the regular season. Four weeks to go before Semis!

Week 4 saw some cracker games in our Hoop Club Social League on Sunday. Hoopstars kept their unbeaten streak alive with an OT win over SCHMKYS, the Bears rebounded from their 3rd round loss to pick up a big win over Sobering Up, Flower Power beat Pukerua Bay and Kapiti College narrowly defeated ERRA Basketball in a game that came down to the final possession.
