We're excited to reveal that our 2026 Fundraising Quiz Night will be hosted by Detective Sergeant Rob Lemoto, former host of TVNZ's Police Ten 7. Rob hosted the popular programme from 2014 to 2023 and has spent nearly three decades in New Zealand Police.

Now he's swapping crime-fighting for quiz-mastering and bringing his quick wit and sharp questioning to Pāpāmoa Surf Club.

Pāpāmoa Surf Life Saving Club is seeking a Junior Surf Admin, Volunteer Coordination & Communications Support person for the 2026/27 season.

This paid part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, communication, community engagement and working with volunteers.

You'll help support one of New Zealand's largest Junior Surf programmes by:
✅ Coordinating volunteers
✅ Supporting programme administration
✅ Communicating with families and members
✅ Creating social media content and sharing club stories

No previous surf lifesaving or lifeguarding experience is required. We're looking for someone with great people skills, strong organisation and a passion for supporting their community.

These awards recognise people who go above and beyond for Surf Life Saving – and every one of our recipients embodies the volunteer spirit that makes our club and community stronger. From patrolling our beaches and training lifeguards, to coaching, officiating and supporting the next generation, they generously give their time to help keep others safe.
