Epic three days hunting roaring red stags. Although it’s been a while since out last adventure, it was awesome getting out and hearing these boys roaring in the bush! I was stoked to get this big old public land 11 pointer too. Awesome having there to share this with!

I was invited by Matt Betts and Sharo to join them on the Dorothy May for a day’s fishing off the west coast of the North Island. The conditions were perfect with flat seas and a blue bird day! I was lucky enough to catch a Hapuka/Groper which has been on the bucket list for some time. Although it wasn’t a big one, it was still pretty exciting to see it come up from the depths.
I can’t wait to get out on the water again and tick off a few more fish species!

Whitebait!! 🐟Who has been up early to set the net this season? This is certainly an activity that keeps drawing you in with the hope of pulling up the net with a decent haul of whitebait. I see why people are so passionate about white baiting, not only because they taste amazing but the challenge of trying to catch some for a feed!
Would love to hear how you have gone this season and some photos of your catch!!

We had a successful morning even if it was cold, wet and claggy!! Was lucky to harvest two red deer today and stock up the freezer with some venison meat. Cheers for the invite Jared Edwards! Time to head home for a hot and butter chicken meal to warm up!☕️🦌

This was such a cool weekend hunting with my uncle Ray and little cousin Marty. Our mission was to secure a pig with the uncles pig dogs, but we couldn’t get onto anything and the one pig the dogs tracked, kept breaking and the dogs weren’t able to pull it up. It is such an adrenaline rush hunting pigs and love the change from@hunting deer.
We were lucky enough to come across 6 fallow deer feeding in a clearing and I was able to take one down. I love fallow meat, and is up there with one of the tastiest deer meat.
Can’t wait to get back out there with the uncle and cousin again and hopefully we can try and secure a pig this time.

Can’t wait to get out after this Covid 19 lockdown and stock up the freezer with some venison meat. My freezer is getting low on venison, so I definitely need to get out there and harvest some meat. Who else has plans to get out there once restrictions have been lifted?
Im loving these meat bags. They are easy to store in your pack and are light weight. Once you unfold them they have heaps of room to pack out a lot of meat. Go and get some and give them a go!!
