Swamp City Roller Derby and friends are gearing up for The Next Breast Thing | kēmu kohikohi pūtea mō te mate ūtaetae, our annual roller derby fundraiser for breast cancer on Rāhoroi, te 10 o Whiringa-ā-nuku | Saturday 10 October.

Last year, together we raised $1,532 for breast cancer research, and this year we've already raised $1,226 in koha | donations!

Let's see if we can beat last year's total and make this year's fundraiser our biggest yet. 🩷

Swamp City Roller Derby is back with our annual breast cancer fundraiser, and this year we're bringing you three games of Reti Rapa | Roller Derby!

Rāhoroi, te 10 Ō Whiringa-ā-nuku, 2026 | Saturday 10 October 2026
Arena 3, Central Energy Trust Arena, Palmerston North
Doors open 12.30pm - First game 1pm

Development-level skaters take to the track.
Full Tit | 3pm
Our A/B-level skaters step things up.
Party Tit | 5pm
Our big finale! A regular kēmu Reti Rapa | Roller Derby game with the addition of the Wheel of Fun Jams. Be there and make a donation to spin the wheel and choose what happens on the track for the next jam.

Entry is by koha | donation, with all proceeds going towards breast cancer research through the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ.

Bring your friends and whānau, wear your best pink, and join us for an afternoon of roller derby, fundraising and fun.
