NZ SUP Championships

It’s been a couple of months since Auckland Paddlefest presented this generous cheque, earned through kind donations from within our sup community at the Pauanui Paddelfest held in January. This was the 1st Nationals title event on the NZSUP calendar and was a great weekend. Wayne Maguire from Ray Whites Maguires One Team was the auctioneer extraordinaire for the event. Meanwhile we are still waiting patiently on where and when the ISA Worlds are going to be this year. This cheque will be a good start to our fundraising to help our 2019 NZ selected sup athletes get there.

Not long to go before the final event for the NZ National series takes place. 13th and 14th April. The long distance and sprint national titles are up for grabs along with plenty of fun races for all the family. Being held on the beautiful waters of Bay of Islands this must surely be an event you can’t miss. It’s the start to the Easter break for many so come along give sup Paddleboarding a go or come and watch the top athletes as they battle it out. It’s not too late to enter.
