Kia ora, apologies for this Very Belated post to share quite old news. But to let all page followers know, in case some hadn't already heard, the club has hung up it's tramping boots.
A dwindling choice of local tracks due to closures because of kauri dieback, several key regular walkers moving away, and lack of new young blood keen to take over the coordinating, were all factors to the decision.
Thanks to everyone who joined in, and most especially many huge thanks to our fantastic volunteer organisers over the years for all their extra legwork in finding special places to visit, several on private property, taking numerous phone calls, emails & messages to coordinate the walks , all while welcoming any newbies or visitors warmly.
We hope you all keep getting out on the trails that are open, and carry on enjoying this special area.
Have a great summer!
