We would like to officially announce our partnership with . Playmakers Athletic will serve as the home base for the Hybrid Hooligans, where they will host hybrid fitness events for their athletic community in our brand new gym area.

🚨 NEW TEAM MEMBER 🚨
Introducing Michael Hipp to the Playmakers Athletic team, Michael is going to be stepping in as the Athletic Programs Lead and heading our functional fitness classes, youth athletic programs, age group high performance programs, and much more! Hear from the man himself:
"Hey, Im Michael! I grew up in Hawera before moving away to study Sport & Exercise at Massey University. I have always had a passion for being active, so you will almost always find me involved in something sporty, with basketball being my number one.
I feel really fortunate to join the Playmakers staff, it's an opportunity to combine my basketball background with my studies to bring fresh energy to help develop people on the court and in the gym. I am excited to help grow the gym and the Playmakers Athletic community now that the space is ready for people to use, and really put my degree to work.
I was part of the Taranaki U19 mens basketball team that placed third at Nationals, which was coached by Aled, so its pretty special to be able to now be working alongside him to help build better pathways and opportunities for all athletes right here home in Taranaki.
And hey, I love a good yarn, so don't hesitate to come down to say hi and have a chat. Can't wait to get stuck in!"
