17 days until the winter solstice. The 21st of June is the shortest day of the year and the official start of winter. For the next 21 days I will pick one photo from the 2 practice and 19 racing nights of the 2025/26 season at Palmy. These will be random selections that catch my eye for some reason.

Day 5 - Meeting 3, 08.11.25
The DMR Metal Recyclers Ramp Race is always an early feature on the calendar at Robertson Prestige International Speedway. Got to love the full commitment from Dave Smith as he gets plenty of air off the ramp.

In the the weekend I got to experience off road racing (passenger) in a car called the yeti
Freaking awesome experience, had a great time cheers Ian Poletti 👍

A wrap up of all the derbies from this season...

Palmy ramp, Auckland all in, Palmy caravan, Stratford ramp, Stratford teams, Palmy team, Stratford all in, and Auckland all in.

Got down to the last 5 in alot of them, won 3rd place stratford teams, 3rd place Palmy teams and 2 best presented in Stratford

Waikaraka Park End of Season 02/05/2026

Massive shout out to everyone that helped getting the car sorted last night unfortunately we didn't get to derby cause the car overheated but she's gonna be all good to go for next season

The Demolition Derby will have you in stitches as drivers go all-out to destroy the competition until only one car is left moving. It’s bumper-to-bumper chaos as every driver fights for the title!

It will be a massive night of racing action! Alongside the legendary Demolition Derby, we’re lighting up the sky with a spectacular fireworks show, Burnout cars, Crane drop, Lolly Cannon, Rollover Cars, Monster Truck rides. Plus we have the Auckland Saloon Champs, Superstocks and our rising stars in the Ministocks will also hit the track for an unforgettable evening at Waikaraka Speedway — where the thrills never stop!

Hot Chips, Hot Dogs, Burgers, Coffee, Hot Chocolate and much more are available to purchase on-site.

A Gold Card Concession or Student Pass (up to age 20) ticket is available for purchase but note - ONLY at the gates on the event day (ID required).

Monster Truck rides available from 2.30pm

Main Gate Opens at 2.30pm – Racing starts 5.00pm
