Temporary Closure – NZ Secondary Schools Bouldering Cup

Beta Climbing Gym will be closed from Saturday 29 August to Tuesday 1 September as we host the NZ Secondary Schools Bouldering Cup.

Friday 28 August: We’ll be open as usual, but you may notice a few fewer holds on the walls while we prepare for the competition.

We’ll reopen Wednesday 2 September with normal hours.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause our members, and we really appreciate your understanding and support as we host this awesome event for young climbers from across New Zealand! 🙌

Our setters will be stripping the wall back and creating a brand-new set of boulders with fresh movement, new challenges, and plenty of climbs for everyone to enjoy—from first-timers to seasoned crushers.

Good luck Conrad as you compete at the IFSC World Youth Climbing Championships this week in Arco, Italy!

We are incredibly proud to see a climber from Taranaki representing New Zealand on the world stage.

It’s awesome to see the growth of climbing in our region and to know that Beta Climbing has played a part in helping develop local climbers and provide opportunities for athletes to chase their goals.
