Today I presented to a group of men about exercise and functional aging.

One of the men said, “Where are we supposed to find the time to exercise when we have so many other things to do?”

I replied

“Trust me, any time you spend exercising now, will afford you more time doing all of those things in the long run.”

I like to think of it like your “movement pension”

And just like the stock market, we always wish we’d invested more earlier…

Humans have a natural tendency to avoid discomfort, and unfortunately, exercise isn’t always comfy!
So it’s not surprising that our brain tries to talk us out of it from time to time.

But you always feel good after right? 🤔

I’d love to know if anyone else has any hacks they use to get themselves there when their brain is trying to convince them otherwise?? Drop your hot tips below.

New blog is up! This one has been brewing for a while 🤔💭

I’ve been thinking a lot about the word “fitness”.
About what it’s come to mean vs. what it should mean.

Check out the link in my bio to read the full speel 😉

Your bones respond to movement, just like your muscles do!

The right kind of movement = the right kind of signal.

Make sure your weekly movement menu includes a mix that
🦴supports your bones
💪maintains strength and mobility
🫀gets your heart working
✨sparks enjoyment

There are lots of great options that tick a few of the above boxes!

As always, reach out if you have any Qs on what might be right for you 😊

Apparently everything I eat is now a ‘bowl’. Is it just me? 😅

But honestly, bowls are the 🐐 for lunch prep!
➡️Cook up a batch of the protein at the start of the week
➡️ Add the carbs and vege the night before or day of
➡️ Call it a bowl and live laugh love 🥰

Here’s some of my faves recently!
🥢 Bento Bowl
🍔 Burger Bowl
🇻🇳 Banh Mi Bowl
🌮 Taco Bowl

What should I turn into a bowl next?

Buckle up team, change is a roller coaster ride 🎢

I often see people becoming disheartened when things aren’t happening as they might ‘expect’.

In reality, making a change or chasing a goal is rarely straightforward. Life will life. Humans will human. Things get hard and progress slows.

But most importantly, we learn, we adjust, we take a beat and we try again. Keep doing this, don’t give up and you’ll get there.

So manage your expectations and enjoy the ride ❤️

Question, when was the last time you checked your blood pressure? 🤔

It’s something I always check with new clients. Sometimes we catch numbers that surprise people, simply because they haven’t had it measured in so long.

It’s important to be on top of, in fact high blood pressure is labelled “the silent killer” as it has no obvious signs.

The good news is, it’s modifiable!
Movement, nutrition, stress, sleep - it all helps. But we don’t know if it needs help unless we check 🤷‍♀️

If you want a quick BP check, just send me a DM! Happy to see where yours is at 🤝

You learn something new every decade 😎💃

I spent the weekend celebrating my 30th - it's always nice to reflect on a decade and cheers to the next one—a huge thank you to all the clients who’ve been part of the journey so far! 💚
