Hey everyone, now that prizegiving is done it’s time we reflect on the season we had. We ended up coming away from prizegiving with most improved and something from placing 2nd at the GP. Our season was another one full of highs and lows with some moments shining with excellence while falling well short in other meetings. But some very good progress was made and we are gearing up for another season. The season began with a couple decent runs before our plans and goals were sunk when we had an engine failure. We put together another and started to have some really good runs building some solid momentum. We just fell short of our first feature podium at the start of December, but in quick succession took our first proper win a couple of weeks later and continued to build the momentum, we then got the fruits on Boxing Day with 3rd place at the Taranaki champs and another win, followed by 2nd at the GP in wanganui shortly after! We were on a roll. In the following weeks our luck had turned costing us 3nz to a flat tyre and struggling at the north islands with engine issues, I then unfortunately caused us some damage at king of the mountain, which we then struggled getting the car back to 100%. For the final meeting of the year we came back strong at palmy with our first feature win. Overall it was a really good year with plenty more learnings and plenty more to look forward to next season. I want to give a massive thank you to my parents for everything they do for me and my racing, especially dad. Through the highs and lows of racing these nobody else Id rather ride the wave with! To everyone behind the scenes, whether it’s being up in the stands, in the pits on race night, or out in the shed during the week, im very grateful to have your help so thank you. And to my loyal sponsors. You help make racing possible for us and I’m so appreciative and grateful to have you guys to do it with!
Cheers for the season, it’s been a blast. I can’t wait to do it all again in a few months. BP

Rounding out the season on a high!
Hey everyone, we headed to Palmerston North a couple of weeks ago for our final run of the season and the interclub challenge. After our issues with the engine in the previous meeting we managed to squeeze a run in during a meeting at Stratford with the 2NZ/5s of Regan Ogle behind the wheel (Bronson was away). Our problems were resolved and we were good to go! Grids at Palmerston North were 7, 15, 2.
Race 1, got a decent start making a couple of passes before losing a couple places to finish 6th. Race 2, got another decent start picking off a few cars to finish 10th. Race 3, we felt like we needed a little more so made a couple small adjustments, got the jump on the start taking the lead into turn 1, then found my way near the topside and checked out for our first win at the P by a considerable margin with the fastest lap. After 3 races, we came out 3rd overall with an all Stratford podium and keeping the shield. Good effort from all the S boys!
That’s a wrap on our 2nd season in the minisprint, we are definitely starting to find our feet but still plenty of room for improvement and learning. Will have a full season write up to come. Thank you for your support I really appreciate it.

Not our night at the north islands. Hey everyone, we headed to Palmerston North for the north island champs on Saturday, a solid field of cars turned up so it was looking like a good meeting,
hot laps, we rebuilt the RR shock during the week hoping our setup issues were sorted and man she was dialed in the laps we turned! Unfortunately another problem surfaced with the engine having a miss so we only managed a couple of laps, we got that sorted for race 1 but a different problem showed up so we had a DNF, we checked everything but couldn’t find any issue so gave it another crack in race 2 but same result, we decided to not risk any damage so parked up and headed to the stands. Congrats to Regan on 1st, Jonno on 2nd, and Jordan for 3rd. I’m unsure when our next meeting is but will hopefully get another couple before the end of the season, thank you for your support I really appreciate it.

Hey everyone, we managed to get the car back to as good as it could be to head to wanganui on Saturday for the west coast champs and the final OST round. A solid 18 car field showed up and We ran 3 races and a final, my grids for the night were 3, 12, 12.
Race 1, started 3rd and got a decent start but we majorly missed the setup (or so we thought) and dropped like a fly, being about a second off pace falling back to 9th.

Race 2, we threw the kitchen sink at the setup, pretty much going to what we ran for the GP final. This was a major improvement but we still struggled to find grip and came home 9th from 12th.

Race 3, we went even further with the setup, way further than we had ever been before, we were getting somewhere now moving up to 6th from 12th having some good battles along the way.
Overall I ended up 9th in the west coast champs and started the final from 9.
OST final. I got a decent start and was making steady progress, but a car partially spun a couple of laps in and I got clipped in the front causing me to spin up. By the time I got back on track I was just about to get lapped by the leader. I put the hammer down and pulled away from the leader, just about claiming the quickest lap, and working my way back up to 12. Turns out, the RR shock was buggered and just coming along for the ride so that explains our troubles with the setup all night. Otherwise the car got a good shakedown and went great all night not skipping a beat after our incident at the last meeting. We’ve got a little break before heading to palmy on the 14th for the north island champs. I’ve been looking forward to this one! Thank you for your support I really appreciate it.

Bu**er…

With racing postponed from Saturday. we raced Sunday arvo on a slicked off windy track. The track was pretty interesting with the wind affecting the car differently each corner. I struggled race 1 coming in 10th from 12, I had a better 2nd race getting 3rd from starting 4th, after holding 2nd and chasing the leader all race but a mistake cost me in the last couple laps. Race 3 I started 8th and got a decent start, I made my way to 5th and while trying to pass 4th, I ran in too deep and had to check up but with the track being so slick I had no grip and couldn’t save it. I was sent to rear for the restart. A couple of laps later a car infront lost steering and was parked across the track at the end of the straight, from the dust I wasn’t able to see and avoid it in time and hit my RR with their LF sending me into a spin, lucky not to go over. I was okay but unfortunately the car wasn’t so lucky ending our night. Thank you for your support I really appreciate it.
We will be back! 👊

8th at the NZ title
Hey everyone we headed to Stratford on Saturday for our 2nd crack at the NZ champs. I drew some good grids with 11, 1, 19.
Race 1, got a good start and kept the nose clean to make my way up to 7th.
Race 2, the car didn’t take off on the start so I slotted into 2nd, never the less I got away cleanly. something was off so I wasn’t able to keep up with the leader until a caution, again I didn’t take off on the restart but kept 2nd, turns out the throttle cable was coming off hence we only had half throttle, in the last 2 laps it let go so I faded away and blipped over the line 5th.
I was sitting 4th equal on points going into heat 3 and starting from the back row I gave it my all, in 5 laps I had made my way up to 6th which was enough for 3nz. Unfortunately the bad luck wasn’t done with us yet when the RR went flat on lap 6. Bu**er, that’s racing for ya. Still super proud of our efforts over the last month in what we have achieved and the pace we have found. Congratulations to Karl on the back to back 1nz, Regan for 2nz and Daniel for 3nz, all well deserved! We are back at Stratford on the 14th for another OST round.
Big thank you to everyone who has helped out behind the scenes and my sponsors for their continued support

So close, yet so far. Was sitting 4th equal going into heat 3, starting 19th I put it all on the line. Made it up to 6th which was enough for 3nz. Then the RR went flat
Gutted….
