3 of our club members Kelly Richards, Karlena Schwass and Courtney Maree double on both committees to help promote, develop and grow netball within the grassroots and nationals spaces which we think is pretty cool!

We were blessed with clear blue skies and warm temperatures last Saturday for our 12th matches of the 2026 season 🙌🏻

Wahine Tahi put on a truly dominant performance to put up their second highest total number of goals scored for the season! The team worked incredibly hard across all areas of the court, playing cohesively as a unit and showing real team spirit 🥰

Players of the day: Courtney Friend & Ari Maxwell

Wahine Rua came agonisingly close to another win but fell just short at the final whistle! With multiple players playing out of position due to low team numbers, every single player went out there and still gave it 110% from start to finish. The scoreboard is not a true reflection of the work the team put in, just not our day! 🥺

A double post for last weeks games because someone may have ended up a little too busy and forgot to post… 👀 🤦🏽‍♀️

Huge battles out on court for the first games of championship round 🏐

Wahine Tahi powered through to secure a good win after being level at half time. Having secured promotion into section 7 after an unbeaten second round of grading, the girls were up for the challenge of coming up against a team they had not faced yet. Our shooters scoring an impressive 14/18 in the third quarter off some incredible feeds from the middies and defensive turnovers was the turning point in the match 🙌🏻

Player of the day: Jo Chadwick

Another tough one for our Wahine Rua girls! Coming agonisingly close to their fourth win of the season falling just short at the final whistle by 3 goals! They are continuing to build every week, not only in skill but in team spirit! Despite the loss, the team managed to secure a bonus point which keeps them in the top 4 💪🏻

💚💛 SATURDAY 1ST AUGUST RESULTS 💛💚

Last weekend saw the final games of round two grading take place before heading into the last 5 games of the season and championship round this coming Saturday 🏐

Wahine Tahi put on a dominant performance against SHGC Senior B to secure first place of section 8 at the conclusion of the round and earning themselves promotion to section 7 for the remainder of the 2026 season! A huge shoutout to this young SHGC team who were absolutely lovely and even with such a huge score deficit remained friendly, kind and played out the match with true team spirit and smiling faces. We appreciate the sportsmanship and laughs we had with you 🥰

Player of the day: Dani Cowley

A tough day for our Rua girls in a rematch against an incredibly skilled Western Suburbs Bengals team. The girls showed real heart and kept giving it everything they had right until the final whistle. The way these girls back each other up and have so much fun together week in and week out regardless of the score line is something to be truly proud of 🥹

Honourable mention to Fenella Davis one of our defenders who made her GS debut and banked a goal for her efforts 🙌🏻

Wahine Tahi showed an incredible amount of grit, determination and true team spirit to come away with a solid win against Western Suburbs, and, with only 7 players! Even the brief rainfall and chilly winds couldn’t dampen their spirits or slow them down 🏐

Wahine Rua secured their third win of the season! A rematch against NPGHS saw the girls play their best game yet. The encouragement and support they showed for one another out on court was amazing. We are so proud of them!
